Vehicle Detail

This is a custom built 745Li. It was built to be used in the 2003 movie TAXI starring Queen Latifa, Jimmy Falon and Giselle Bundchen. Originally purchased NEW by Twentieth Century Fox from Irvine BMW just outside of Los Angeles. When I purchased it from Fox Studios, it had 648 miles on it. It currently has just over 16,300. Obviously, I never drive it, so I think it is time to pass it along to someone who will. The car: A 745 Li that has been re-badged as a 760 Li per the script for the film. It is a V8 not V12.Originally Silver, the car was re-painted a bright metallic red by Picture Car Warehouse in Reseda, CA... a major picture car supplier to the film industry.AC Schnitzer body kit from CEC in Beverly Hills. Front, side and rear ground effects as well as trunk spoiler.AC Schnitzer exhaust package also from CEC. The car has a great throaty rumble when it starts up.22" Lowenhart LDR rims and tires. I will also include the original Sport Rims that came with the car, but might need to be shipped separately depending on you choice of transport. The paint has a few stone chips and other scuffs from filming as well as being 10 years old. Almost all could be touched up by a body shop or at home. Only one on the back driver fender would require a body shop if you were so inclined ( see photo ).It is an amazing and expensive paint job but does have flaws because of it's short studio life and age. I tried to get photos to show. The small chips are circled in yellow and there are 2 pictures of the larger scratch/ding that covers about a iPhone size area. The driver seat has a small tear at the left knee that is mostly hidden. I think the leather on the left leg rest was replaced during filming for some reason. The hard stunts the car is seen performing in the film were computer enhanced. Although it did have some impressive moves by a stunt driver. All service work since I owned it has been performed at a BMW dealership. All service is up to date and I put a new battery in it 2 weeks ago ( at dealership ). If you check the CARFAX, it says it was part of a taxi fleet. This is because Fox Studios previously owned it as part of the studio fleet of cars. The car has a bit of a cult following on the BMW threads and blogs. It is first up if you Google TAXI BMW, although there are some people copying the car and posting pictures to. Did I mention that Giselle Bundchen, a Victria's Secret supermodel drove the car in the film? I still find hairpins tucked in corners when I vacuum it. I had the dealer run a Kelly Blue Book and retail with the low mileage is $20,875 as of June 2013.The upgrades at time of the build were:22" Lowenhart LDR rims 10kAC Schnitzer bodykit 15kHouse of Color Candy Red 12kI certainly don't expect to get these numbers, but want you to know what went into it. I did have the car listed last Summer for $24,500 and had a number of offers. I accepted the highest which was $22,500 but the guy was a serious flake and strung me along for a while. I'm finally getting around now to re-list it at a much lower reserve based on KBB. Please ask questions if you are interested. Money order or cashiers check only, sorry no PayPal except for REQUIRED $500.00 DEPOSIT per eBay. Thanks for looking.
