This is my 1961 Cadillac Series 62 6 window sedan. I have owned this car since October 2005. I am the 3rd owner of this car. This car was originally purchased at Black Cadillac Olds in Harrisburg PA and delivered 11/4/1960. I have the original owners manual and owners protection policy from the dealer. This car is a true original survivor! Never restored, just maintained and driven on and off since 1961. When I bought it in Oct 2005, it ran and drove, I drove it home, and used it as my daily driver for the first few years. Took my kids to school, went grocery shopping, had fun! Since then I drive it just for car cruises and just to have fun. The past few years I have driven less and less, but every spring and summer I drive it on nice days, and take it to car shows. The car is very well maintained, Tune-ups and oil change on a regular basis. Since I have owned the car I have installed new shocks all around, new brake lines, wheel cylinders, brakes, new dual exhaust, pertronix electronic ignition, water pump, new rebuilt rochester carb...just kept her running and replaced whatever need to to be replaced. Most recently I installed 2 new Magnaflow mufflers last summer, and before that had it painted. Just installed new front carpet a well. Body is very straight and solid, some minor rust bubbles here and there, worst is across front edge of hood. Runs and drives very well. Original Cadillac 390 V-8 With rebuilt rochester carb. Car has approx original 68k miles, plus about 500-1000 miles Ive out on since speedo stopped working. I may have added 500-1000 miles Window motors are strong, and power windows go up and down easy. Driver side window switch does work most of the time, but could be replaced. Gas gauge does not work, but I have a brand new fuel tank sending unit I will include. Speedometer stopped working recently, I replaced the speedo cable, but the speedometer itself is not working, gear in back striped out I think. But I have a good working speedometer from another 1961 Caddy I will include. There is a scratch in the windshield on driver side from wipers, not bad, just annoying, and I have another windshield I will include.. Car looks and drives awesome, nice original stainless trim, Dash board is mint, no cracks!, steering wheel and guages show some wear, but look very very nice. Seats and headliner need to be re-done.This is a super nice driver, or great candidate for restore. Overall super nice car great for cruising and having fun.!!
