12.00 Rare beast!! Jeep Commando wagon convertible for sale!! Looking for a cool ride for summer? Selling my running 1972 Jeep Commando wagon with hardtop. Last year made and excellent vintage collectable color (Butterscotch Gold). This is a hard to find Commando as it is the last year make/model, a 304 V-8, automatic transmission with 4 X 4 on floor, and A/C in almost all original condition. I bought it from the second owner from Nebraska in 2009 (she had owned it since 1976). Partially restored with the following updates: 4 wheel brake rebuild to include the following: 1) New brake pads, new wheel cylinders, 3 new drums (one was turned), and bleed out lines). 2) New tune up to include spark plugs, wires, new battery, starter, solinoid, distributer cap, fuel filter, etc. 3) Replaced steering stabilization bar and rod. Has lots of chrome including roof rack on hard top. Needs more TLC with exterior bodywork/repainting, new heater core, however it’s a good investment opportunity for a person with some knowledge/time/money to spare. Appraised for insurance at $9,400.00 by KC Classic Car Museum in 2010...but willing to sell for less as I don't have the time/money to continue restoration and she needs a good home!
