You are buying a 1979 Chevrolet Suburban 3/4 ton 4x4. This truck used to be close to a show truck. I have owned it about 20 years. Needs body work, interior work and paint is for the most part shot. Truck has been sitting since 2005. I have started it a couple times a year but hasn't been in awhile. Motor is a 400 stroked down to a 383 cubic inch. This motor has less than 3,000 miles on it. Invested $4500.00 in the motor and $1500.00 in the transmission in 2004. Hard to say how many miles the body and frame have on it. The motor is the 3rd one as is the tranny. This truck is a great project, a real head turner or if you are building a rod here is a good strong 425 HP Motor and fresh tranny. The truck has a bad ground somewhere . Engine starts and runs strong with the alternator unplugged. If you plug the alternator in, it squeals and pulls the motor down. I had always hoped to get the truck back on the road but I just don't think that's going to happen so gonna offer it up and see if someone else can make the truck the highway star it once was.
