Here is a great opportunity to jump into a very cool old truck with tons invested for a fraction of the build cost thus far. This is a very clean 1955 1st series pickup that the previous owner grafted the front and rear suspensions from a Corvette and an LT1 engine and trans from a camaro. I picked it up basically as you see it other then a little fauxtina work on the exterior and airbrushing the stitched leather on the dash. I had intentions of ripping the wiring completely out and starting over. I'm a firm believer in using the aftermarket wiring instead of trying to use miles and miles of unneeded wires that are in the factory wiring harnesses. The truck will start and can be moved around but its not roadworthy, you have to jump the ignition switch to get it started and it does have a misfire possibly from an injector as it has set at my shop unused for a long time. There has been alot of money spent and I would love to finish it but have way too many projects already in the works. The Corvette Suspension has been changed over to Coilovers and of course with the vette suspension you end up with power rack and pinion steering as well 4 wheel disc brakes. The interior is very clean and a camaro instrument cluster was installed. The wood in the bed is all new. Even though its a project its not so much a project that the average hotrodder with some time couldn't get it going fairly quick. I just installed brand new wheels from Wheel Vintiques and new tires.
