This 1972 VW Bus Transporter was purchased at an Estate Sale. When the Father passed they parked it in the Barn 25 years ago. I have cleaned it up, gotten it running, have Tagged and Titles it with a Kansas Antique Title. Antique Titling cost a little more but once titled as an Antique, Annual Tax & Fees are $17 per year. I know not how other States handle Antique Autos but I would think an already Antique Title would be beneficial. I have driven the Bus only to the DMV and back home & it ran fine. Although the gas tank was emptied when parked, I'm sure it needs a cleaning. The paint is original with the exception of rims, roof and grill. The van was originally from California and had a very good undercoating. The Bus has Front wheel Disc Breaks & had Factory Air Conditioning, however the Compressor has been removed, I believe the rest of the AC is there. It needs: Shocks, Headliner, has a cracked Windshield, bad Muffler, the throttle foot peddle needs work, no center seat. The Keys had been lost buy Estate owners years ago so I have hotwired it. The tires I put on are good, I had been saving them for my VW Fox. I have a used Windshield that will go with the sale but it does have fogging in lower portion. Also have a nearly new muffler, not installed, that included. Has very little rust except for the Battery compartment. I have tried to post photos of the rust locations for these vehicles. This is a 41 year old vehicle that sat for 25 years, I would recommend trailering if buying out of State. In my opinion it is in extra good condition & very clean 72 VW Bus. I believe it is as good candidate as any I have seen on eBay for shipping back to Europe, or bring it back to perfect condition here in the USA. Vehicle sold as is where is.
