Vehicle Detail

Up for auction from my personal collection is my 1971 Suzuki T125 Stinger. I acquired this original T125 sometime ago with the intent to restore it and add it to my collection. I felt this was a very deserving restoration candidate because of its complete and mostly original condition. I now realize that I am never going to have time to enjoy all the motorcycles I have amassed and have decided to let a few more of my nicer examples go. The frame number appearing on this T125 is T125-116095 and the engine number appearing on this T125 is T125-116404 making this a numbers matching correct original example. The build date was 12/70 and the odometer currently reads 5,926 miles which I believe to be the actual mileage of this T125. I know the new owner of this nice T125 Stinger will be very happy enjoying it as is or will have the perfect starting point for a complete and show quality restoration. Mechanically, this T125 has been parked and in storage about the last 15 years. As with all old motorcycles, some general maintenance should be performed such as cleaning the carburetors and setting the points as well as any other maintenance as recommended by Suzuki to get this T125 back on the road. Currently the engine turns over smoothly with excellent compression and this Stinger was running and diving prior to being parked years ago. The engine, carburetors and engine area are also overall very clean and correct. Cosmetically, this Stinger is in overall nice original condition. The seat was professionally recovered with a high quality reproduction cover and strap and is in outstanding condition. The fuel tank on this Stinger features the original Suzuki paint as well as original emblems and gas cap. The tank does show some patina and has a couple minor dings but is overall a very nice original fuel tank. The inside of the fuel tank is clean as new and is bright metal. The factory original chrome front and rear fenders are present in nice condition and the original exhaust on both sides of this Stinger are present as well and are very solid with no major rust and also no major dents or damage of any kind. The rear fender has the correct tail light bracket and tail light mounted to it as well. The handlebars are the correct originals and are straight and feature the factory correct Suzuki grips, controls and of course the hard to find and correct mirrors with the Suzuki “S” embossed that are only on original Suzuki’s. The front fork covers feature nice factory chrome and the headlight features the correct bulb and chrome bucket as well. The gauges are in very nice condition as well and match the condition of the rest of the Stinger. The air boxes and oil tank are also present and in nice usable condition. The under seat area of this Stinger is also very clean and correct. Overall, this is a mostly original, clean and correct example of a 1971 T125 Stinger. I also of course have a clear title in my name for this T125 as well as the original Suzuki key. This stinger is not perfect but it is a nice original example that could be enjoyed as is with some general maintenance or would be the perfect candidate for a complete restoration. As you know, it is becoming very difficult to find a deserving T125 restoration candidate especially from a collector who only sells vintage motorcycles and NOS parts. Regarding Payment and Shipping, I will accept a wire transfer or a certified check for the T125. Payment must be received within 10 days of the close of the auction.
