Vehicle Detail
This bike has spent more time in the garage than on the road. Recently, I decided to get it running, so I de-rusted the gas tank by electrolysis, installed a new petcock and fuel lines, and put new jets in the carburetor. Even so, I can't get it to run except on starter fluid. Condition: The bike is in great shape cosmetically, and has spark and compression. The battery is bad, giving about 7 volts. The button for the electric starter has been removed and the switch taped over. I have a replacement button, but I'm not sure whether the electric starter will work or not. Apparently the button was removed because the starter was stuck. There's no fluid right now for the front brake. If you want, I'll get you a can. History: This bike was originally sold to the first owner by Valley Honda in Spokane, Washington. He sold it to the second owner, who kept it in a garage for a couple years, when I bought it in 2007. I have kept it in the garage since then and just recently tried to get it running. I have copies of the Honda service manual, the Haynes manual, and the Clymer manual, as well as the original tool kit, which I will include.Inspection: If you live in Spokane or want to come to Spokane, I would be happy to arrange for you to look at the bike. Just contact me through the ebay question feature.Shipping and payment: If you are local, you can come by with a pick up truck and take the bike. Local or not, you can arrange for a shipping company to deliver it to you. Check the Delivery tab above for information about shipping options, or find your own preferred shipping company. The Payment and Before You Buy tabs also have important information for you to consider. I will take payment through PayPal or other means; ebay requires a deposit of US $250.00 within 48 hours of auction close and full payment within 10 days of auction close. That works fine for me. If you have any other questions, use the ebay question feature to let me know. On May-26-13 at 05:56:11 PDT, seller added the following information: Canadian bidders: If you are high bidder, you will have to complete paperwork and pay fees to import the motorcycle into Canada. It's my understanding that this bike is exempt from listing with the Registrar of Imported Vehicles because it's more than 15 years old. There are still forms to complete to import it into Canada, however. For more information, please check the web pages of the Canadian Border Services Agency, Transport Canada, and the U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
