THIS VEHICLE IS LOCATED IN KENTUCKY. PLEASE CONSIDER THIS BEFORE BIDDING. This Tahoe should be HAULED from our warehouse. It has a leaking brake line. We would prefer that you make arrangements to haul this vehicle from our property. DESCRIPTION: You are bidding on one previously owned 1998 Chevrolet Tahoe LT. This Tahoe was owned and turned in to us by the Kentucky State Police. This is now considered Kentucky State Government Surplus Property. They have asked us to sell it for them on EBAY. VIN: 1GNEK13RXWJ349984 GENERAL: This SUV is two-tone in color. It is Maroon with the bottom trimmed in Gold. It has the 5.7 Liter V8 Gasoline engine in it. It has 200,480. miles on it. It is a Tahoe LT model. It has a lot of bells and whistles, some of which are missing. This SUV is 4-wheel drive and has an automatic transmission in it. The engine sounds pretty good. The transmission seems to shift properly. The Four Wheel Drive seems to work properly. The Driver’s Side Rear Door WILL NOT OPEN. It won’t open from the outside or the inside. On the inside, it seems that the door handle is disconnected from the parts that allow the door to open. The Stereo Unit is missing. The headliner is coming loose or undone in several places. The rear speaker covers or speaker grilles are missing. There is a very small crack or star-shaped chip in the windshield on the driver’s side. The ‘Antilock/ ABS’ and ‘Brake’ lights are ON in the dash. The 2 BRAKE lights that are ‘on’ in the dash “COULD POSSIBLY” be from low brake fluid levels due to the leak in the brake line. DRIVER’S SIDE: Front Fender: It has a couple of chips in the paint. There is a very small dent just behind the parking light / side marker light. Driver’s Door: There are several light scratches and one longer light scratch. It is approximately 12” long. There are 4-5 very small dents in the door just below the door handle and one of those dents is above the door handle. When you lift the door handle to open the door, you can see that it is broken, but it still works just fine and when you let go of it you can’t tell that it is broken without looking very closely. Rear Door: It WILL NOT OPEN. It has several chips in the paint and a few light scratches. Rear Quarter Panel: There is one spot over the wheel well opening that has some rust through. It is approximately 1-1/2” x 2” and around this area some paint is missing too. The wheel well Chrome Trim has several little dents in it too. The rest of this panel has several chips in the paint and some light scratches as well. REAR END: Bumper: It is Chrome with a black pad on it. There is a small dent near the corner on the driver’s side. It has some rust near the center. There is a Full-Size spare tire up under the rear end, just forward of the bumper. There is no receiver hitch on this Tahoe. Glass Hatch / Window: The glass or window opens upward and built into the glass is the wiper for the rear window and it has a washer too. There is a rear window defroster / defogger in the glass with controls to it and the wiper / washer in the dash. You have a button on the Remote / Key Fob to release the latch on the rear window or there is a button in the dash. Tail Gate: It has a few scratches and a few chips in the paint. It opens downward. It can be locked / unlocked with a key or the unlock buttons. The window has to be raised before the gate can be lowered. PASSENGER’S SIDE: Rear Quarter Panel: It has some very light scratches. There is also some rust through just behind the wheel well opening and above the exhaust pipe. Rear Door: It has a few chips in the paint and some light scratches. There is a small dent very near the center of the door. Front Door: There is one dent near the center of this door also as well as one scratch approximately 10” long, just forward of that dent. There are some light scratches and a few chips in the paint also. Front Fender: Only a couple of chips in the paint. This panel appears to be in fairly good condition. The radio antenna or the ‘mast’ of it is missing. FRONT END: Bumper: It appears to be in pretty good condition. The Plastic “Chrome Trim” is fading. There are 2-Tow Hooks under the bumper. Grille: It appears to be in good condition but the headlights are a little clouded. The DRL (Daytime Running Lights) are H.I.D., the ones that have the Blue color to them, and the driver’s side DRL is not working. Hood: There are several scratches. There is a spot near the Passenger’s side fender that has NO paint. This spot is approximately 5” x 2-1/2”. There are a few chips in the paint. A small dent is visible near the Driver’s side fender. ROOF: There are ‘factory’ luggage racks or roof racks. The roof is in good shape but there is some residue in 4 spots at the rear just forward of the “third” brake light. Also the roof has some fading going on in this area too. WHEELS: All four wheels are steel. I suppose that the spare wheel is steel too. There are NO center caps or wheel covers on any of the wheels. The tires are worn and will need to be replaced after a little while. I have NOT seen a Tire Jack. It is not under the hood. It is not in the cargo area. It is not under the ‘curb’ side rear seat. INTERIOR: It has Dark Tinting on ALL windows EXCEPT the front windshield. The interior is Tan. Tan leather seats. Tan carpeting and floor mats. Tan dash and consoles. Both front seats have torn places in the leather on the outside edges of the seats. Some of the leather might be missing, especially on the passenger seat. The foam padding seems to be in tact; just the leather is worn and torn. Both front seats have ALL Power adjustments, including Lumbar support. They both have heated seat bottoms with controls on the outside bottom edges of the seats. The rear seat(s) are a 60/40 bench type seat with folding backs and fold up bottoms. This helps make the cargo area larger. The back seat(s) are stained with what looks to be TIRE MARKS!!! I know, but it looks like there were tires hauled there for a while. Of course, all of the seats have some stains on them. There is NOT A THIRD ROW SEAT. No provisions for a third row seat either. The radio / stereo unit is missing, but the separate CD player is still in the dash. The dash has a corner loose and it is loose near the headlight switch. Above the tachometer, the dash has a small crack in it. Also in the dash: rear window defrost switch, rear window washer/wiper control, rear hatch release, pull out cup holder(s), 2-12 Volt power sources, ashtray and the cigarette lighter is missing the actual lighter unit. There is some FAUX (fake) wood- grain on the dash and overhead console. The overhead console has a couple of interior directional lights, 3 buttons that allow up to 3 garage door opener settings or gate opener settings. It also has a couple of storage compartments in it. The rear Air Conditioner has controls in the overhead console also. There is an overhead DVD player (that works, or has the pictures) just NO sound. That is probably because there is NO radio unit. The rearview mirror has a setting to toggle between Temperature reading outside and Direction of travel. The sun visors have lighted vanity mirrors on them and extended sun-blocking pieces that pull out from the visor. The 4-Wheel Drive Selector shifter is in the center and on the floor. The Four Wheel Drive unit seems to go into gear in each selection properly. I did pull it up and back it up in each one to see if there were any abnormalities. There were none that I could tell by doing that. There is a lot of storage in the center console. It has removable bins and storage under those. There is a folding piece that you can fold out and have a place to write. The carpeting is stained throughout. Matching Tan floor mats and a carpeted mat in the cargo area. There is a retractable piece in the back that helps keep the sun off of things or nosey eyes from seeing things, but it needs some TLC, it won’t retract properly. Driver’s door armrest is filthy and needs to be cleaned. The console, carpet, seats and dash ALL need to be thoroughly cleaned. This SUV has Power: Door Locks, External Mirrors, Steering, Seats as well as Tilt Steering Wheel and Cruise Control. I had this vehicle running while these pictures were taken. Please note that it is entirely possible that we missed something or failed to see it or failed to mention something about this vehicle.
