1962 Chevrolet C10 Pickup Stepside Selling for a friend of mine that no longer has time or space for it. This 1962 C10 Stepside is in overall very good and very original condition. It is running and drivable, but obviously is a 51 + year old vehicle and is not quite as “cushy” as today’s trucks! This was a Texas truck brought to Wisconsin by the owner, and never driven in Winter or salt. Frame and body have little visible corrosion. Paint is fresh and the motor starts and runs well. This would be a great restoration project or resto-mod with a few updates. I think it is really a a gem of a find today. Recent work (12/12 – 3/13) totaling over $2100 by ASE certified mechanics (docs included) includes; · Complete tune-up including plugs, points, condenser, dist cap · R & R all wheels and brake parts · Replace rear wheel cylinders · Replace steel brake line to rear wheels · Replace headlight switch Items still needing attention; · Gauges and speedometer inoperative · Window cranks inoperative · Radio missing · Probably more minor items – I am reporting what I see We are told this could bring $8,000-12,000 by an appraiser, but the seller is motivated, therefore we are starting the bidding at less than half of that.
