You are bidding on a 1965 Studebaker Daytona Wagonaire. It is being offered with NO RESERVE. General: The car received an amateur restoration in the 1980s. It does not run. Structural: The frame has some perforation and separation at the lower plates. The body has had extensive rust repair in the floorboards and cowl area (see pictures) with some replacement metal welded over the top of existing panels and also fiberglass work. The rocker panels were replaced at some point, but not welded to the inner body reinforcement as it is rusted away in some areas. Exterior: The car shows some rust bubbling through in the rear quarters and a few other areas. The rear quarters were installed over the existing panels. The paint quality is uneven - some areas do not have lot of gloss. Brightwork is in excellent condition, although the hood ornament is broken off. Tailgate appears to have significant bondo, as do other areas of the car. Interior: There is evidence of previous rodent activity in the headliner, as well as some water staining (see pictures). The seats and door panels are in good condition, but do show some staining. Dash pad is in very good shape. Floor mat is also in very good condition. Mechanical: The car does not run, but the crankshaft turns when rotated with the fan. Carburetor is missing, as is battery ground strap and several other wires are disconnected. Brakes do not function. Car is equipped with power steering. Car has not run in at least 20 years. Tires are newer with no miles on them. Air cleaner is present but was removed for photographs. Condition of automatic transmission is unknown. Gas tank is caved in at front. Other: Tailgate is sticky and does not open all the way. Equipped with windshield washers and underhood glass bottle. Previously owned by the Harold Churchill family. Terms: Will sell to US only. Vehicle is sold as is, where is, with no warranty of any kind. Full payment due 72 hours after close of sale. Vehicle must be picked up within ten (10) days of close of sale. Title is in hand and will be accompanied by bill of sale. Title will be released when car is picked up.
