It is almost impossible to find a GMC Sprint. They were only built in 1971 and 1972. A cousin to the Chevy El Camino but much harder to come by. The SP designation was comparable to the “SS” in the El Camino. This rare find comes with the 400 big block engine (402 GMC) and a turbo 400 transmission w/3:31 gears. This particular vehicle also has buckets with a full console, matching numbers engine/trans, 12 bolt posi-traction, full gauge pkg, Air Condition, PS, Power discs, dual exhaust, sway bars, shoulder belts, remote LH mirror, AM/FM 8track, sport steering wheel with rare dual horns, period correct Cragar rims, HD radiator/alternator, cowl hood, F41 performance suspension and more. The prior owner installed a very high quality custom bed cover and the paint is excellent. It is one of only 36 built with a LS3 Invader 402 big block and the SP option in 1972. This car is a rare gem! It is an older restoration that has held up extremely well. Base coat/clear coat paint and a full interior restoration that look very fresh. It drives out really, really well. McCaddon hasn’t had to do much with this vehicle in terms of repair. It has had a few minor needs with electrical and some carburetion adjustments, but it was purchased already well sorted out and is a great driving vehicle. It comes with a written history from the previous owner along with a photos and description of the reconditioning work that was done.
