You are bidding on a 1953 Studebaker Champion 2 door sedan. It is being offered with NO RESERVE. General: The car received a partial amateur restoration by a previous owner. It runs, drives and stops. Exterior: The car appears to have been resprayed at some point in the past. There are several areas of minor rust as well as some dings and scrapes. The front bumper is bent on the passenger side. Some of the brightwork is missing and the chrome has pits or has been painted body color. Rear bumper is painted body color. Tires hold air, but need replacement. Interior: The Champion's interior has been redone in grey velour. It is in decent shape, but does have some staining and imperfections (see pictures). Mechanical: The car runs, but the choke is inoperative-It needs to be primed to start. Engine misses on one or two cylinders. Carries good oil pressure when running (see pictures). Brakes will stop the car, but do hang up occasionally. Car is equipped with overdrive, but its operational status is unknown. Structural: Frame appears solid. Floors and trunk have evidence of repair. Some rust in rocker panel area (see pictures) Other: Manuals and some spare parts are in trunk and will be included in the sale. Terms: Will sell to US only. Vehicle is sold as is, where is, with no warranty of any kind. Full payment due 72 hours after close of sale. Vehicle must be picked up within ten (10) days of close of sale. Title is in hand and will be accompanied by bill of sale. Title will be released when car is picked up. All arrangements for pickup/shipping are the responsibility of the buyer.
