Vehicle Detail
Vehicle is in decent shape with very little exterior surface rust, mostly on drivers side of car.Only 45,389 Miles... Car needs complete restore. Never wrecked, clean lines. Excellent floor pans, T-Tops Never leaked. You can see the pics of the good seals in the pictures on PhotoBucket. Trans Am ran when I parked it in the barn, finally had a chance to get it started only a few days ago.TRANS AM IS RUNNING, see pics and video on the link at bottom of page When I first got the car, I bought it not knowing if it ran or not. We replaced distributer cap, and fuel pump, hooked a good battery up, and after getting some good gas in the carb, it started right up. Good brakes. I bought this car with the hope of restoring it. I became disabled and do not have the income I had when I purchased this car. I would like to see it go to someone who has the time and resources to give this car the attention it needs. With most restorable vehicles, you can never get the money you put in back, but with this car, they usually sell for $25,000-$45,000. Just look them up. I have done some research on other cars that need a complete restore, and you will not find any in this good of shape at this price. This car is one of only 5,683. Highly desirable and head turning. Apparently I had the car priced way below fair market value, Make an offer you just might get lucky! Please feel free to call at anytime (606)862-1571 or (606) 344-1986 to ask additional questions and clarify the details. It is best to call to ask questions, because I am away from home alot, and usually only check the listing once or twice a day. The 1979 Pontiac 10th Anniversary Trans Am was another commemorative Firebird, this one marking the first decade of Pontiac's still-successful Pony car. The 10th Anniversary Trans Am was officially priced at around $10,600, but the announced low production and the model's perceived historical significance created a rash of speculation (classified ads appeared shortly after introduction listing $30,000 asking prices).Equipped with power everything, it also featured a distinctive silver and charcoal paint treatment, T-bar roof with silver-tint glass hatches, silver interior with leather upholstery, the heavy-duty WS-6 handling package, and "Turbo Alloy" wheels designed by John Schinella and made by Appliance. The Tenth Anniversary Trans Am (TATA) came with the Oldsmobile built 403 V-8.Pluses of the 1979 Pontiac 10th Anniversary Trans Am:Fine performanceLooks still turn headsLow production appealSuper handlingSpecifications of the 1979 Pontiac 10th Anniversary Trans Am: Wheelbase, inches: 108.2 Length, inches: 196.8 Weight, pounds: approximately 3,600 Price, new: $10,619 base (U.S.) I am also offering this car for sale locally, and reserve the right to remove this posting If I sell locally, separate from ebay.
