This bus sat since 1978. The vehicle runs good, the clutch don't slip and theoretically you could drive it home, but I would'ent. The person that owned it last disconnected all the dashboard wiring in an attempt to find a short circuit. its still there, somewhere. I hot wired it to get it to run. I just disconnect the battery after each use. The body needs lots of work. Theres some soft spots on the frame but a professional body man could weld the those soft spots in a jiffy. The floor under the ice box was completely rusted and some of the crossmembers need to be replaced. I put 4 or 5 miles on it with no problem. Oh, I did replace the master cylinder. All the body parts one would need are available at mid america or wolfsburg west. I had two of these buses in the late 60's and had lots of fun with them.
