Vehicle Detail
Alfa Romeo 1967 step nose Giulia GT Junior 1300 Complete car in need of full restoration. This car has a lot of rust -- please see the photos provided. It is perfectly savable but please be aware that this Junior will require a lot of time and money to restore. My very low starting bid reflects this. The engine was running but had very poor compression. I disassembled the engine and had the cylinder head rebuilt by Alfa Parts (Norman Racing Group) in Berkeley, California. They are a reputable business and did a fantastic job on it. Additionally I had the radiator recored and the gas tank cleaned and sealed. I rebuild the carburetors personally and they are working fine. At the moment only the block remains in the engine bay, however I have all the parts set aside and cleaned as you can see in the photos. Interior is complete. The front seats are in not too bad a shape, although the driver seat back rest does have a rip. The top portion of the rear bench seat is dry and cracked and needs to be reupholstered. This Junior's original color is 'space light blue', basically a baby blue, which is very rare and very beautiful. You can still see this color in the trunk and engine bay. I have the California title in my name and the Alfa Romeo official documentation stating the year of manufacturing and original color combination. Please see pictures below. The car is currently registered as non-op and there are no back fees to pay. This is a very sought-after and very difficult to find true collector's and driver's car. Once restored step nose GTs command upwards of $40,000 and they are a blast to drive. I know this car is in need of a lot of work and that it will be expensive to restore. However it is a great investment for whoever has the time and money to put into it as the value of step nose GTs is constantly increasing. I tried to describe the conditions of this Alfa clearly and honestly. However should you have an questions whatsoever or require any additional details please do not hesitate to contact me. I will answer as quickly as possible. This Alfa is located in Burlingame, California 94010. You are welcome to come see it in person. I will not ship personally, however buyer is welcome to arrange pickup with a transportation company of their choice. Deposit of US $500.00 within 48 hours of auction close.
