Vehicle Detail
Consolidating my garage dust collectors! I bought this bike with the intentions of using it for fishing and hunting chores, but soon afterward I found a XR650L that met my needs(size)a little better. This is a fantastic specimen that has always been well taken care of. I'm the third owner and you can tell by the mileage, we all pretty much did little riding on it,lol. I have changed the fork springs, seals and fluid. They are heavy duty springs made specifically for this model. Here is the thread on a CT forum that will tell you all you want to know.....http://hondatrailcts.yuku.com/topic/996/Front-Springs-Upgrade-Telescopic-Front-Forks I changed the rear shocks to heavy duty units also. Here is the link to them....http://www.dratv.com/ctctheavdutr.html I changed the headlight to be able to use a bulb type instead of replacing the whole light assembly. Here is the link to that.....http://www.dratv.com/ct90k2thru19.html I replaced the tires and tubes with a more aggressive tread pattern and they still feel good on pavement. I made the storage box and it is bolted to the 1974 style rear rack with the hoop. I have the original 1982 rack and it is perfect. I also have another 1974 style rear rack that I had powder coated chrome because it was a bit rusty and it turned out pretty well,I'll include them both. The battery is new since last year, but the winters here kill them pretty fast....it is still fairly charged, but if you want to replace it they are around $25 or less. It has an aftermarket carb that was put on by the previous owner. It works great and I do have the original carb, that has been cleaned and boiled out with the lemon juice method and has a full Genuine Honda rebuild kit for it in case the aftermarket ever fails that I will include. I replaced the fuel lines and filters with new clear style lines. It starts with 1 or 2 kicks everytime and I hate to lose such a nice example of the Trail 110, but I need to make room. I would very much like to keep the sale local pick-up, but if you need to have it shipped, I will work with the buyer to get it to your shipper of choice. I'm willing to drive it within a 50 mile radius for .50 @ mile to help out. Thanks for looking and if you have a question or you need a picture of something specific just let me know!
