Vehicle Detail
1963 VW Dunebuggy purchased on July 7, 2004 with 77,000 miles and a new 1641 CC VW engine installed by Off-Road Buggy Supply in Yuma, Arizona. They also installed the following parts: Intake Manifold Doghouse cooler/adapter Wire fan Shroud Cylinder Timing Carburator Distributor Clutch J-Tubes Current Miles on Dunebuggy are 78, 272. Engine is still brand new. I purchased this with intentions of making it a show car and never got there. I have realized that I am not going to finish this dream. The vehicle has back seat too and seats 4 individuals. Street legal. I have a 2" tow bar to throw in so you can just hook up and take it home (easiest pull ever). This vehicle gets so many looks its insane. I have installed the following new parts since my ownership: New Cooper Wheels all the way around. New Front end Upper/Lower arms shock absorbers Ceramic Baja header w/Stinger Pipe Wired for 12 Volt Many others I have over $10,000 wrapped into this.On Apr-01-13 at 16:51:32 PDT, seller added the following information: The photos of the vehicle being used resemble that of the vehicle today. The vehicle has not changed in condition as it technically has not really been on the road since i purchased it and stored inside the garage. The body of the vehicle like all others has scratches and a some chips on it, but in my opinion it does not detract from the overall appeal of the vehicle. When the sun hits the paint, it really stands out with the silver flakes inside the red paint. The vehicle will come with all the paperwork i have accumlated since the purchasing of the vehicle and has a clear title. The fuel is dispensed directly behind the back seat as seen in one of the photos. I have not started the vehicle since fall, but will have my mechanic take a look at it before the buyer hauls it away so you can feel good that it will be running as always. I also have a cover that was attached to the back covering the engine completely before I added the Stinger Pipe to it which caused the removal of this cover (looked like a rolls royce cover on the back). You can see in the back where the cover was attached. The vehicle has a little rumble to it when u accelerate because of the new exhaust. The vehicle has room for improvements pending on how far you want to take it. I had one question from a 6'3" person asking if it would be comfortable for this tall of a person. The answer is no. Probably want to be around the 6' mark. The vehicle is not made for long distances but is great for just cruising the area. Buyer should feel comfortable with purchase. If you are not satisfied when you pick it up....then you don't have to buy it. Feel comfortable when buying from me. I am not a car salesman. I hope this answers most questions as i am getting a ton of them.On Apr-04-13 at 08:07:20 PDT, seller added the following information: Buggy is approx 12'9" long, 5'8" wide, 5'2" height. Not sure on weight, but estimate would be 750-800 lbs....this is a guesstimate. Engine and tires are the weight of this buggy.
