Vehicle Detail
This model was called the Dodge Demon until 1973 when Dodge was forced to changed the name to "Dart Sport" because of controversy over the Demon name and character. It was considered Dodge's entry level performance model. This car went through an extensive ground-up total nut & bolt restoration and has few than 1000 miles since completion. Everything mechanical was either replaced or rebuilt. Many components have been upgraded for comfort, reliability and performance. -Custom built Magnum 360 engine dynoed at 355 hp. Runs cool and is very street-able. Mild cam, your mother could drive it (but when you step on it the fun starts). -New Torque Flight Transmission w/shift kit rated for 425 hp. -Car stripped to bare metal prior to show quality PPG paint. All rust removed and new metal welded in where needed including front floor pans. Epoxy Primer and sealed. I dare you to find a finer A-Body. -Updated A/C blows cold. -New 8 3/4 rear end w/3.23 ratio for relaxed cruising -The car has the rare factory floor shift/console and the folding rear seat. -New interior as per original factory set-up from Legendary Interiors. Original gauge cluster goes with car if you want to revert to original. I like the look of the custom gauges and they work fine plus adds a tach. Even the radio was rebuild and it sounds like 1974. -With weight reduction from the aluminum heads, intake manifold, TTI headers, tubular control arms and modern A/C compressor and the addition of the 355 hp engine it drives and handles great. Nothing like your grandparents' Dart. It would take 3 times my asking price to duplicate this car's quality and equipment. Admittedly I got carried away with the project and am upside down. We don't take on these projects to make money but for emotional reasons. If you'd appreciate owning one of the best Mopar A-Bodies out there you could benefit. The car has a written appraised value of $49,500 which I thought was generous but my insurance company accepted it w/o question and it is insured for the agreed upon value under a collector car policy. The car needs nothing but an appreciative owner with garage space. We are retiring and need to reduce the size of our fleet. Transportation/shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. I will assist as much as possible. You are welcome and encouraged to inspect the car prior to bidding, however no solo test drives. On Apr-01-13 at 09:51:01 PDT, seller added the following information: I've been asked what the reserve is. I've lowered it and the next bid will exceed the reserve. On Apr-02-13 at 14:01:22 PDT, seller added the following information: I will remove the reserve this evening. Please feel free to bid but only if you are serious. Don't commit if you are not prepared to nonor your bid. Also, I've received a few questions about the car but had my mail and pics bounced back to me. Feel free to call me at 520-271-8031On Apr-02-13 at 16:02:21 PDT, seller added the following information: Correction/aplogy. I'm still learning about Ebay. I intented to drop the reserve. It seems I can't do that. So if you want the car the next bid will go over reserve. Again, my apologies.
