Vehicle Detail
1970 Plymouth Duster, this is literally a barn find from an estate. The car was very dusty from having sat for at least the last 5 or 6 years. I am actually selling the car for the estate. The car is showing 24,530 miles on the odometer, so I am guessing that means 124,530. Pretty sure this is a one owner car. Most of the paint on the car is original and shiny and the original interior is in amazing condition. You could sympathetically restore the car by doing a major service on it, along with some paint work. The right front fender has some dents as are visible in the pics and there are a couple of small dents in the trunk lid. A rock chip in the drivers side of the windshield all other glass is just fine. There are some parts and service records along with shop manuals in the trunk, a nice plus which shows that the original owner was very enthusiastic about the old car. The car runs and drives well although I would still recommend bringing a trailer or having the car trucked. It has been off the road for some years. The transmission feels great, the old slant 6 runs great and the power steering works fine, and the car stops just fine. Good tires and all original hub caps. Interior is over all very good, but there is a split in one of the seams in the drivers side seat. Dash is close to perfect, the pad has no cracks, you could take the car to shows with this original interior and people would be amazed. Very minimal rust on the car is pretty much just some surface rust mostly in the drivers door jam and under the hood, and a bit behind the drivers side rear wheel. Have a look at the pictures and feel free to call. The car will sell to the highest bidder, who will be responsible for all shipping or transportation cost from Whidbey Island WA.Completely happy to help you find a shipper or help you make your shipping arrangements but the actual cost of shipping is the sole responsibility of the buyer. The car is being sold in AS IS WHERE IS condition. Please have your finances pre arranged. Your welcome to come see the car before the end of the auction, remember if you have questions please ask, only too happy to help. Questions email or call me Jim @ 425 238 5317 pacific coast time zone. Good luck bidding, the car is a serious time capsule and cars like this do not come along very often so bid to own it. If your into vintage American muscle era cars do not let this one get away. I have attached a picture of the plate but it is difficult to read. What is says is as follows: N95 R11 V4Y ENDGY3 U G33 H51 M21 M25GY3 L4X9 TX 828 042108E24 D31 VL29C1E 101730 More pics attached, the power steering pump is down below the AC compressor, I did notice some scale on the underside of the bottom edge of the trunk lid, not rust through but should be addressed in the near future. The bottom of the trunk under the mat is lovelyThe underside of the car is amazing clean straight and no rust.
