This classic convertible Mustang is a fantastic and beautiful driver. The inline 6 cylinder engine runs well and the manual four speed transmission makes this Ford very fun to drive. This vehicle is from an estate and the history of it is unknown. The odometer shows 70551 miles which may be original by the looks of the engine.
Exterior
The exterior of this Mustang is Signalflare Red and looks great. The Paint is in excellent shape. The chrome throughout the vehicle looks great and the bumpers are in excellent shape. The glass throughout the Mustang is in good shape and the windows roll up and down as they should. The Ford sits on steel wheels with Rally style hubcaps and Cooper whitewall P195/75R14 tires with lots of tread left on them. Wire spoke hubcaps are also included. The vehicle is extremely solid throughout. The underside of the vehicle looks very solid and does not appear to have any rust issues. The white convertible top is in good shape and does not have any rips or tears in it. The rear plastic window is slightly discolored but is complete.
Interior
The black on black interior is in nice shape. There are a couple of spots on the back seat that have some pieces of the vinyl that were ripped (pictured). The front bucket seats are in great shape. The carpet is nice and clean but does have one spot in the back that has a small hole in it (pictured). There are rubber floor mats front and back in this vehicle. The tonneau cover for the convertible tops fits well and is in great shape (spare older one in the trunk). the dash board is in excellent shape and is covered by a dash mat. Lap style seat belts are installed front and rear.

Mechanical
This Mustang is powered by a 200 cu. in. inline 6 cylinder engine that runs well. The exhaust system has been upgraded with a header and dual mufflers that give the Mustang a great sound and lead one to believe it has a 289 in it. Power is transffered via a 4 speed manual transmission. The door tag shows this vehicle came with a 3 speed transmission and I don't know when or why it was changed. Drum brakes on all four corners stop this vehicle. The Mustang is equipped with factory air conditioning but it does not blow cold air. All of the AC components are installed. The convertible top is a manual model and is easily put up by one person. The electrical system in the vehicle is in great shape. All of the lights and signals work as they should. The dash lights work correctly as well as the interior lights in the foot wells and the rear of the center console. All of the gauges are operational. This Mustang also has the Rally-Pac gauges on the steering column that house the tachometer and the clock.
Overview
This clean Convertible Mustang will make someone a very nice driver. It seems to have been well taken care of. The condition of the vehicle inside and out leads us to believe the 70551 mileage.

This vehicle was either consigned or donated to the California Automobile Museum, a non-profit organization and licensed California dealer located at 2200 Front Street, Sacramento, California, where it is available for inspection. This vehicle, and all vehicles sold through us are sold AS-IS with no warranty intended or implied by the California Automobile Museum or its consignor/donor. All purchased vehicles must be removed from the museum within 2 weeks from auctions end or storage fees of $10.00 per day will be applied. The Museum is open 7 days a week, 10 AM to 6 PM (excluding major U.S. holidays) and we welcome you or your representative to inspect the vehicle (by appointment only) prior to purchasing or bidding.
