Vehicle Detail
This is a custom 1961 Plymouth made from a 61 Savoy. The body is all steel with PPG Concept 2000 Porsche Red paint (3 coats) and Concept 2002 Clear (4 coats). Paint is 2 years old and very nice, with a few small blemishes from driving. All windows are original from the Savoy , the operational tailgate and bed are hand formed 16 guage steel. This is not a bondo buggy, all rust areas were repaired properly with steel. The engine is a professionally built Chrysler 400 low deck, overbored .030 with KB pistons. The cam is a Crane 272 duration hydraulic and the intake is an Offenhauser . 2 Edelbrock 500 cfm carbs top the intake with a custom air cleaner. It has a Milodon 7 qt street pan and pickup, custom headers, recurved Mopar distributor, MSD 8.5 MM wires, Manley Valves in ported 452 heads and Aluminum fabricated valve covers. Also has a 100 amp alternator and aluminum radiator with a custom shroud.Runs on 87-89 octane unleaded and can be driven anywhere. The transmission is a probuilt 727 with Red clutches and bands, bolt in sprag, 4 pinion planetaries , manual / automatic valvebody, PTC 2500 stall converter and Turbo Action Shifter. This is tied via a Victory performance driveshaft to an E body 8 ¾ rear with rebuilt 3.23 suregrip and aftermarket axles. Brakes are E body 10 inch drums on the rear and Scarebird conversion disc brakes up front. The car has power steering and manual split master cylinder brakes. All suspension and steering was rebuilt with new parts and the chassis is coated with Por15. Interior has E body buckets, and a working Mark IV AC system with late model evaporator and Sanden compressor. Autometer oil pressure and water gauges along with an Autogage shift light tach and voltmeter compliment the factory dash. There is also a gps system and 100 watt JVC stereo system with CD player, AM/FM and Mp3 along with a 250 watt subwoofer. This car is driven everywhere on the weekends, needs nothing and has less than 4500 miles on the running gear. Current projects leave me lacking space so the car must go.
