Up for auction is a 1959 Chevrolet Impala two door coupe. This is an original Los Angeles built and owned vehicle. It is best described as a "driver" meaning, it can be driven and enjoyed just as it is or restored while you drive it. Please view all photographs before bidding. PAINT The vehicle is presentable but not perfect. It shines well and can be left alone. It does have imperfections, as shown in the photos. A few bubbles near the hood lip etc. INTERIOR The car was reupholstered in a slightly modern pattern. Like the paint, it is not perfect but can be left alone. Very salvagable interior. BRIGHT WORK The car comes with California ONLY one piece front and rear bumpers. The side moldings and wing trunk moldings are missing. Please view pics or ask questions regarding any other missing moldings. ENGINE/TRANSMISSION I was told the car has a numbers matching 283 V8 small block and two speed powerglide transmission. The car runs and drives fine. METAL WORK Overall the car is pretty solid. The only areas that might be an issue are two front floor pans which appear to have been replaced, the trunk floor which appears to give a little and the lower part of the spare tire well. Otherwise the rockers, braces, fenders and quarters appear to be good. THIS IS NOT A RUST BUCKET OR BASKET CASE. This car can be driven and enjoyed while restored. Due to the popularity of the 59's, it is well worth restoring. TERMS The car will be sold, "AS IS, WHERE IS" no warranties expressed or implied. Shipping is the buyers responsibility.
