Vehicle Detail
1 of 45 1LE's built in 1997. 1 of 17 black 6 speed 1LE's built in 1997. $1175 1LE package includes engine oil cooler and special handling suspension, no power locks, no power windows, no power seats and no foglights to reduce weight. This is the most fun car to drive I have ever owned. Very light weight and fast and handles amazing. Arizona rust free car. I recently bought the car but I regrettably have to sell it because I am having bad health problems that require surgery and $$. The guy I bought the car from was a great guy who really, really babied the car and took perfect care of it. I have a stack of receipts from him from the last 3 years ordered by date with about $5,000+ worth of repairs. Newer $568 Z rated BF goodrich tires. New rear rotors and pads, new clutch and motor mounts on 4/10/12 to the tune of $1,506. Pretty much every gasket on a motor or rear end that could potentially drip oil was replaced. The last owner had plenty of money to maintain the car, his other car was a new Shelby GT500 Mustang and he had other awesome high dollar cars as well in his collection. The car is bone stock except for a flowmaster muffler and Richmond gears. The a/c, heat and cruise control all work great. I haven't found any repairs the car needs. The seats are all in good shape with no tears. I have owned eight 1993-1999 Camaro's over the years and this one starts with 0 hesitation, better than all of the others, it feels like it is perfectly tuned and it starts up with what feels like half a turn of the key. I don't really know what else to say about the car. It shouldn't need anything. Extremely rare and impossible to find car. Runs and drives perfect. Very lightweight for a Camaro. Feel free to message me any questions. 1997 is a good year for the 1LE's because you get the newer style dash and interior and wheels compared to the 1993-1996's. If you figure they made 45 1LE's per year, how many have been wrecked or rusted out or haven't been maintained out of those 45? Will you have another opportunity to buy a late 90's 1LE that doesn't need any mechanical repairs for under $10,000 or $15,000?On Mar-20-13 at 00:05:12 PDT, seller added the following information:Here is a list of all of the $10,028.64 worth of maintenance that was completed over the last 2.5 years.
