The original owner puchased this in March of 1974 and rode for 252 miles and stop riding motorcycles. I has been stored in Southern California since that time. This bike has never had its first oil change, the oil is still clean. Original tires are on it, the rear holds air the front has a slow leak, the tires are old and cracked and not safe to use. I have not done any cleaning on the bike other than wiping with a damp rag. I purchased a new battery, cleaned the tank with Evaporust, removed the carbs and cleaned the float bowls out and reinstalled. I did not rebuild the carbs, just a quick cleaning. The engine started right up and runs fine. I have not synced the carbs. but it idles smoothly when it warms up. I have rode it briefly up and down my alley to test the gearbox and it shifts as it should. The front brake master cylinder is frozen and will need to be rebuilt . Originally he stored in the garage and then the last five or so years was stored under a tarp on the side of the garage and looks like the tarp had a hole and one side of the tank has some sun damage and a few rust spots. The wheels are rusty, the rear more than the front, chrome has rust spots as can be seen in the photos. The seat is very nice, the engine is dirty and has some oxidation. Comes with the original owners manual, factory shop manual, tool kit and original key. I even have the 1974 invoice. I have a title in my name for this motorcycle, it is registered Non-Operational (Calif.) The miles on this motorcycle are actual, I knew the original owner (deceased). Extra Factory Rear Wheel Included Please Read Thanks to another helpful ebay member the rear wheel on the motorcycle currently is a 16" wheel that is shorter than the original 18" wheel. I never really looked that closely. The good news is this bike came with the original wheel, but it had been stored in a enclosed shed so it is in great shape, maybe has 100 miles on it. The tire is the original Birdgstone Super Speed 21 3.75-18, the holds air and has no age cracks I can see. The chrome is in very nice shape, looks like the original owner had the dealer swap out factory wheel for a shorter fatter 16" set up. This is a complete wheel with everything except the sprocket which they swapped over to the 16" wheel. So would just take 30 minutes or so to swap it back to original.
