Vehicle Detail
Offered For Sale Is This Muscle Car Era, Nice Looking 1972 Ford Ranchero GT I picked up a while ago with the intention of keeping it as a cool cruiser. After driving it around a bit, it started to throw out white smoke. It starts right up and sounds loud and mean, doesn't leak or anything..but the white smoke means it needs to be fixed and I am just not prepared to tackle another project..so we are hoping to find someone who can give it another chance. It's pretty straight, the paint is nice with wide back tires and smaller ones up front dressed in classic Crager Rims with Spinners. It's got a mean stance and with that hood scoop looks really cool. Inside is nice, one crack on the dash, gauges all there, no radio, carpet in front and behind the seats are nice. The seats are later era and comfortable with a cup holder that's always nice to have. Door close and line up nice, door panels good, headliner is ok except for one spot in the corner on the passenger side. Bed has a few dents and I saw a couple pin holes but other than that its decent. Working Tailgate, Single Exhaust, Newer Shocks. It's Project Priced with No Reserve. I have only driven it around the block since it started smoking. Clear Title In Hand Ready To Put Your Name On and Take The GT away! Check Out The Pictures I have tried to show it and tell you all about it as best I can. No Warranty it IS 41 years old. The Reason I am mentioning this again, is there have been people showing a lot of interest in the Ranchero, and there are a number of bids on it and I don't want anyone thinking you can drive it from Seattle to Miami with that white smoke coming out. Please be sure this is the vehicle you want. On Mar-21-13 at 13:30:51 PDT, seller added the following information:I have people in the area that want to look at the Ranchero, that's fine I won't end the auction I have no problem with people wanting to see it. I dared to take it around the block, it rolled ok I will tell you that it is a bit low on transmission fluid and it shifts but a little hard, and tires are a bit low it has been sitting for some time. Just wanted to add this to try and do a good job of describing it. Yes the bed has a few dents I already described that and if you want new panels probably JC Whitney. On Mar-22-13 at 08:41:58 PDT, seller added the following information: I am getting a lot of emails and questions in regards to the mechanical condition, etc of the car. All I can say is this..I know it's not perfect, I don't know what it needs exactly except that it needs some help, I got carried away and ended up buying 2 Rancheros before I started on my T-Bird. The Repair bill is getting higher on that one, the Rancheros are in front of the house, we have a Van and Convert in our Garage at the house and only have room for one more car, and my plans to add an addition to our garage and have more toys was shot down, besides the financial end of it all. I started the auction at $925.00 because I knew it needed work but I am not that invested in it like our oldie we are keeping..also the hood alone is probably worth $400.00 bucks. With all that in mind, I am just a guy who doesn't know much about cars except if it looks cool I may end up buying it, plans change and that's why I am selling the trucks. Thanks for looking, happy bidding.
