1968 HONDA CL-77 300 SCRAMBLER Very nice example and the last year of the CL-77 . I recently purchased this bike from a private party here in phoenix . The bike was stored in the back corner of a 2000 Sq. Ft. building covered up . The Fuel was drained for storage . After receiving the bike , Both front and rear inner tubes were replaced the tank and carbs were flushed , the oil was changed and a new Yuasa (12N5-4B) battery was installed . The bike fired up after 3 kicks . I rode the bike for Just about 5 miles , It ran like a Raped Ape . The bike ran thru all 4 gears with ease and the brakes worked well , the engine idles nicely . There are no leaks from the engine or the fuel tank . As far as the condition of the bike , Its mostly all original that I can tell . the tire's are not original but not new ( Cheng Shin ) they have no cracking and are in good condition . The rims are very nice , there is a few spots of minor pitting in the grooves of the front wheel, the spokes are remarkable with no rust at all , there really isn't any rust on the bike at all except for some minor light rust under the fenders . Please look at the picture's closely , there are some minor marks and or scratches . the rear fender below the tailight has some wear in the chrome . the front fender left corner has a dent and some scratches . The exhaust muffler has a small dent and a scratch . All the chrome on the bike is very nice with no pitting. The right side tank badge is cracked and crazed , the left side is nice. The fuel tank has a couple tiny marks 1 left of the fuel cap 1 bottom right towards the seat and there is some rub from the seat before it shrunk , the seat foam is rather hard in spots but no tears in the cover . As far as electrical , the headlight high and low and the taillight work . The rear brake lights not working , I beleive the switch is bad or stuck , the bulb is new. The Neutral and speedometer lights work as well as the red high beam indicater . The body and frame are in good condition , there is a minor dent in the skid plate at the frame also the left side cover has a small chip in the paint and the right has paint missing at the top under seat .The schock covers and the headlight ears have a few paint chips . The rear passenger pegs don't stay up and both front foot pegs are cracked and have been taped ( I have new ones that go with the bike) . There is a 1/4" scrape in the fly wheel cover and previous owner put a screw in the back of mirror to stop it from moving . For 40+ years old the condition of this bike is very nice . I have a clear Arizona title in my name and also have a copy of the original title when the bike was purchased here in arizona . There is one key and the original owners manual there is (No Tool Kit) . $300.00 deposit thru paypal within 48 hrs. , the balance of a casheir check due in 7 days from close of Auction .
