Vehicle Detail
1973 Plymouth Barracuda Nice Az Desert Find / Barn Find The possibilities for this car are endless. 1 thing Id hate to see is another Hemi clone blah blah UNLESS you went with the Newer Hemi Mod Clone car There you couldnt loose if you did it well. If this car doesnt sell, Im seriously considering building a nice resto mod like no ones ever seen before. Already got alot of ideas for a respectable dream machine. Originally a nice 318 / Slapstick Auto car with dealer installed A/C About 13 yrs ago the timing cover started leaking so during the repairs, it was taken apart and never finished. Id venture to say you could put a new t-cover back on and water pump and it would probably run with little issues and could make it a driver with a little work. OR, go to PLAN B and make it a great RESTO MOD and build it anyway you want from front to back and with a car like this, it would probably be worth more then restored back to stock. The rust on the inside of the floors is obvious but I wouldnt say they need to be replaced. Trunks a little worse. Replacing them would be determined as to what level of restoration one wants to take the car to from here. DRIVETRAIN: As mentioned earlier, original 318 car now with a 4v carb and intake (looking stock too I may ad) 3 Spd auto worked fine when the cover started leaking Stock rearend w/ hwy gears. INTERIOR: was originally green w/ dealer installed AC Az has been very hard on the plastics and rubber of course but the floors are still very solid and it would make a great base car to build the way you want. The Auto on the floor w/ factory console is a nice plus. EXTERIOR: Original green paint has been painted over in a few areas with black (even on the chrome bumpers in a few areas) But the body is actually very straight and clean and again a nice base start start with to build back to stock or resto mod it. Originally the car had a vinyl top, but its long gone and the previous owner did some nice work on a few bumps the roof did have. No signs of any body filler if any on the body except a few small areas you may expect. It comes with a box full of exterior chrome and stainless trim that is currently missing from the car in the pics. But in the pics near the bottom youll also see pics of loose parts that do come with the car. Key pieces like the factory grill are in good shape still. 105,000 Miles on the odometer, which is probably original. This car is ver rust free Arizona car compared to any eastcoast car. The rust on the car is mild, solid floors etc. Old Crager rims may be able to be saved for another project if you beadblast them and maybe powdercoat them. All the glass is good except the windshield. Rear window is OUT but comes with the car laying in the backseat. Check out ALL the pics below -----> it may take a full minute for them all to load if you have a slow connection, so be patient AND looks for the extra schroll bar on the right side. Az gets maybe 12" a yr of rain and Az very dry climate. more info AFTER the pics etc. There are 100 large pics. There you go, Im sure I missed some info about the car. Any bondo on the car is extremely minimal, door ding type stuff. The back window was removed during the paint process and still not installed yet, I was waiting to install a new headliner first and final paint. This is probably The BEST represented Barracudas on Ebay. Shows you all the good as well as any bad, hope you appreciate them. We put a lot of time and effort in marketing our cars and it shows. People wait months for a car this solid to come up for sale and even if you have to pay shipping to your area, it still beats paying a body shop to hopefully fix a rusty car for weeks on end. Having as much as the original steel on a restored car these days speaks volumes. Also, if you buy a car thats been "restored", who knows what sort of surprises are hidden under new paint or thick undercoating. People are flipping cars all the time when most of the jobs are fast, for a quick buck and quality suffers. Our auctions have NOTHING to hide . Restore a car like this yourself or locally and you know exactly what you have in the end. Email us with ANY questions before you bid please If you treat yourself to buying one of our vehicles youll never buy a total rust bucket again from anyone !! Our Impeccable FEEDBACK speaks for itself. Doing restoration on this type of project is less labor intensive which means overall cost is less too ! With less horrid surprises later on. Dont let auctions with little to no pics try to fool you. With other auctions, you really dont know what to expect until you take the car apart. While we go over our cars ALL OVER with great pics to help making your decision easier. Along with ANY other questions you may have. Email me for a quote for shipping. Or fly in and drive it home, its that reliable and clean. CLEAR ARIZONA TITLE IN HAND I wont end the auction early !! CAR MUST BE PICKED UP WITHIN 14 days of auctions END ! we can no longer store cars for anyone !! Unless other arrangements have been made before auction ends.
