Vehicle Detail
1967 SO-42 pop-up VW Bus for sale. This is a SO42 WALKTHROUGH westfalia with most of the interior there! Its missing the sink. The bed, closet (with hooks, rack and mirror), headbanger shelf, interior lights, HEATER, jump seat, and safari windows are there! Its originally Sea Blue/Cumulus White that has a cheap respray over...you can see OG paint in quite a few spots and it wouldn't be hard to get it back. The bus is a walkthrough; the front seats need work, especially the passenger seat. The doors aren't original, but they are in great condition. This bus runs and drives; but you can't drive it home. It sat for years and needs some attention to ensure its safe....a good tune-up, new fuel lines, gas tank cleaning, brake lines and flush, etc....restore it while you get to enjoy it. It has a 1500 motor in it, the previous owner claimed it was original; it fires right up and idles, shifter works and it brakes decent. The bus is in good condition, it just needs some TLC. It does have rust. I have started to cut out some of the areas (jackpoints, heater tube). It needs: inner/outer rocker on passenger side, lower dog legs (the upper are perfect), hole in floor (see pic), lower doors have bubbles, rust spot on lower nose and a few other areas. The frame is solid. BUT, it has perfect lines, NO wrecks...the nose is straight, the rear corners are nice, the roof is perfect (some surface rust but no holes), long panels are clean, etc...you can tell which side the snow piled up on. Please ask any questions you might have. I have all but one original sekrit windows, I pulled most of them out to replace the seals, also the drivers windshield is cracked. The front windows are safaris and the frames are included. The wiring needs attention. The ignition wiring is wrong;I do have the key for it. The pop-up fabric will need to be replaced or resewn. Please ask any questions you might have before you bid. I'm an honest guy and I want you to know everything you might be wondering about. I've provided a lot of pictures to help see all angles. If you don't have permission from your wife, don't have all the money right now, need to sell yours first, etc, please don't bid. What you see is what you get! A 1967 SO42 in very restorable condition that runs! I have the title in hand. $500 deposit immediately after auction close; the rest within 7 DAYS. Cash or bank transfer. Its up to you to transport the bus and come and get it (or have it transported), within 14 days! If you can't do that don't bid! IF YOU DON'T HAVE ANY FEEDBACK DON'T BID! I will delete your bid. International buyer: I will assist with being here to load the truck, but I can NOT deliver the bus anywhere; your transport company needs to come get it. You pay all transport costs. Please look into shipping before you bid, so you know costs, terms, etc...Wire transfer IMMEDIATELY for outside of USA buyers. Thanks!
