This auction is for my 1988 Mitsubishi Starion project car that went unfinished. The body has been professionally done. The paint was stripped, down to the bare metal, and repainted, to include the engine compartment which was sandblasted. Rusted areas around the rear fenders were cut out and new metal welded in. The passenger side frame rail had one rusted spot which was cut out and a new frame section was welded in and under body coating re-applied. The rear subframe was removed, baking soda blasted, repainted, and reinstalled. Most of the removeable suspension parts had the same treatment. The under carriage was the only area not stripped down and repainted, only the aforementioned frame rail section. The interior has been partially reassembled, the dash, roof liner, rear side panels and carpet has been reinstalled. Here is a not all inclusive list of items that are included. Performance built lower end with Wiseco Forged Pistons When I canceled the project, I went ahead and rebuilt the OEM top end and installed it. New lifters, seats, sprints, and bearings. The cam, valves, and cylinder head were cleaned and tested at a machine shop. New 83 style fiberglass reinforced hood All new timing Balance shaft elimination kit Brand new radiator and oil cooler Centerforce Dual Friction clutch I believe both rear calipers have been replaced with either new or remanufactured ones Rear windows were professionally tinted while uninstalled from car, can't get much better than that New emergency brake line New or remanufactured master and slave clutch cylinders New inner and outer tie rods (needs center link) New KYB struts, front and rear, new Strut tower bearings/insulators New braided stainless steel fuel line ran Many more new parts... please ask if there is something specific you want, no I will not part it out This was going to be a race car. The A/C is gone, OEM fuel system is gone, along with the OEM air intake system, and anti-lock brakes. Anything you don't get that isn't listed above (like the OEM fuel system), sorry, threw it all way. If there is something specific you need please ask and I'll check to make sure it is included. Don't take that the wrong way, it's pretty much all there, I just planned to have an aftermarket fuel and air system and I purposely deleted the A\C and antilock brakes. As the pictures show, some exterior parts (bumpers and spoiler) have not been installed.
