I really don't want to sell this, but having 4 cars on the driveway is getting a bit hectic. This car is a blast to drive, and I enjoy it every time that I get in.I've used it as a daily driver for the last year. My situation dictates that I need something with more cargo carrying capacity, so regrettebly the BMW must go. The E12 was the first of the 5 series BMWs, and it's amazing how well it drives, even when compared to modern cars. I get comments and thumbs up all the time on the car. A lot of people tell me that they or a family member owned one and how much they miss it. The car is stock with the exception of the wheels and struts/shocks. The wheels are BMW issue BBS style 5 wheels in 17". The struts/shocks came from a M535i. The a/c works on the car, and the car has never given me any problems. The car does need a few details: It's hard to start because the thermo time switch needs replacing - Once it runs for about a minute or so it's fine. I have never had it not start. The back two windows don't roll down anymore. The back seat bottom padding needs to be restuffed. The odometer does not always run (common problem) The tach whines above 3,000 rpm (I'm going to look at this tomorrow and see if I can't figure it out) Paint is original and generally very good, still glossy, but there are a few touch ups and door dings. I see no signs of body work. Passenger side door lock does not work. I have some misc. parts like headlights, oil filters, hoses, etc that will come with the car. Also, the control stalk for the temperature on the climate control broke and needs to be replace. There is a plastic universal joint that is common to break on these and that it what is broken. Dashboard has cracks. Overall, a great car and in incredible shape for a 32 year old car.
