Vehicle Detail

Re listed! We came up just short of the reserve the last time...this time the reserve is set at less than the last highest bid. Up for auction is a 1931 Studebaker Model 54. This is a four door sedan with a six cylinder and a 3 speed transmission. It runs and drives and is a head turner where ever it goes! This car was restored as original many years ago and still looks great! The paint still shines pretty well and the body is in excellant shape! It really grabs attention! There is some paint cracking on the running board where it has flexed a little when it is stood on, but it's not too bad. Other than that, there are no major problems with this car! You can get in and drive it anywhere. The top is the canvas/leather and still looks like new! The car was painted a brown color that has a slight greenish tint to it...very nice and unusual color! The engine is strong and reliable and starts every time! The 3 speed transmission has the freewheel option. When you let off the gas the trans slides into freewheel mode and then slides back into gear when you press the pedal again. I don't know how rare that is, but I've never seen another one like it. The interior is in great shape as you can see from the pictures. No major problems anywhere! Plus, you can be comfortable in any seat no matter how hot it gets...all three side windows roll down and the windshield angles out for air conditioning! The door panels, headliner, seats and carpet are all nice! There is one piece of glass that has a crack along the corner, I included a picture. The interior was finished in gray. As you can see in the pictures, it is very nice! The tires and wheels are all good, it rides pretty nice for a car so old! The brakes work just fine and all the electricals are good! This is the original 6 volt system still! Have a look at the pictures and ask any questions you may have! This is one beautiful car and will be a great buy for someone! You will not be disappointed with this one! just seeing it brings a smile to my face! This car is located at Friday Harbor, Washington. A little island that requires a ferry ride in order to get to. The winning bidder will have to arrange shipping or pick up in person. I can arrange to have it brought to the mainland for pick up in order to save you the ferry ride. I will also be available to help load if if you decide to use a shipping company. If you can give me a 24 hour heads-up I can have the car in Anacortes, Washington (98221 zip code) for easy pick up. The title is clean and ready to be signed over to the winning bidder. There is a $1000 deposit required through PayPal 48 hours after the auction ends. Full payment is required with in 7 days. As always, if there is a problem or questions, please communicate as soon as possible! We can come up some agreeable arrangements and get all the answers! THIS CAR IS TITLED IN WASHINGTON AND REGISTERED AS A NORMAL VEHICLE, THERE ARE NO RESTRICTIONS ON THE DAYS YOU CAN DRIVE IT OR HOW MANY MILES YOU CAN DRIVE IT. THERE IS A 1931 ANTIQUE WASHINGTON PLATE AVAILABLE TO GO WITH THE CAR IF YOU WANT TO REGISTER IT AS A COLLECTOR CAR. This is a you tube video of the car. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GPMTb6la6-k&feature=youtu.be
