Vehicle Detail

This 1972 1210 4X4 Camper Special is a real nice example of Grandpa’s IH, because it was! This truck was well cared for all of its life and is a low miler (39K) because it was used with a camper on board 90 percent of its life. This is a rust free truck in its original paint and was mainly in AZ and CA making for a good climate to live in. The paint is thin in spots but doesn’t hide any body work like ones with a fresh coat usually do. Only minimal surface rust, and that’s mostly because of thin paint, and a very straight body. Original owner ordered this truck with every option available at the time…. See the order sheets in pics. Some of the rarer options are 3.73 gearing (4.10 was std.) A.C. that has been converted to R134 and completely rebuilt, (this will freeze you out of the cab in 100 degree weather). Bucket seats with center console, deluxe interior option, padded door panels, full carpet, sound deadening, and tinted glass all around. Power train features include, 392 V8, auto trans, PS, and PB, (brakes were completely gone through, shoes were arced to the drums by Ott’s in Portland, all new wheel cylinders and all new hardware) this stops excellent for drum brakes! The only area of concern is the passenger side fuel tank…. Its fully functional but has some good sized dents in it. Aside from that its all cosmetic to whatever level you want to take this truck too. This is a very road worthy truck, it made a one day trip from Sacramento to Portland with the ac blowin, and cruising at 65mph with zero problems. If you have always wanted a vintage IH 4X4 this is about as good as they get, trouble free, dependable, and an excellent driver.Parts and work done to truck are:Complete brake jobCarb replacement with correct HolleyAC repairs and upgrade to R-134Replacement of lock rings with NEW 16x7 acuride wheelsRecord radiatorNew hosesClass 5 trailer hitch Payment due 48 hours after end of auction via bank transfer, unless prior arrangements are made. Truck must be picked up 7 days after auction, buyer is responsible for shipment of vehicle as well. Please email with questions, the above buying guidelines are how the transaction will go unless prior arrangements are made before bidding. Thanks.
