Up for consideration is this Excellant 1998 540i BMW sedan. It has everything you could ever want in a sporty sedan. The engine runs flawless. It has been tuned to perfection and has full power and the transmission shifts absolutely perfect!!!!!!! This car has not been abused and has been adult owned and driven and the first time you drive it you will see that 178k miles means nothing on a BMW. This is argueably the best era for BMW build quality and there are so many E39's still on the road. This 5 series has the highly coveted 5 speed A5S310Z automatic transmission with adaptive transmission control. Traction control works perfect as does everything else on this car. You can drive it anywhere !!!!!!!! It also is equipped with the cold weather package which includes heated seats and heated steering wheel. Besides the stock BMW stereo system it also has a Pioneer 6 cd changer in the trunk with remote up front. Wheels are in excellant condition with only minor rash, see pics, there are over 100 at every angle. Leather is in great shape and the pic of the passenger front shows a little wear mark. This is not ripped or torn as is the rest of the black leather . Leather, wood, dash, headliner are all very nicely presented and the car has the distintive German interior smell still after 15 years. Glass is all clean as is the underbody. Also has memory seats, power adjustable fronts, electronic telescoping steering wheel that raises when you park the car to allow you to exit easily. Rear power windows turn down automatically when in reverse which probably explain for the wheels having little to no rash. A few road nicks here and there but overall a great headturner. The heating system is unbelievable in this car. It gets so hot you feel like your sitting in an oven. All lights, power options work as they should and there is really nothing to do at all. Does not smoke or burn any oil at all. I personally put over 1000 miles on this one and have not had to add any fluids whatsoever.
