Up for sale is a 1970 Dodge Dart Swinger. It has a 440 ci engine, 727 trans. I bought it at a local muscle car dealer and was told it was from North or South Carolina. I was told it ran in the high 9's in the 1/4 mile with the Nitrous oxide, and in the 10's without. It has a full roll cage, 10 gal alum. fuel cell with a Berry Grant fuel pump and rear mounted battery and rear mounted kill switch. It has a fiberglass hood, trunk lid, and bumpers. It has been mini tubbed to look factory and has new M/T ET Street tires 13.5" wide. Weld Racing Drag lites. Chassis Engineering subframe connectors and rear 4 link suspension. Strange rear axels and the braced rear end housing. It does have a stall converter but I am not sure of the RPM stall. The engine is bored 440, with Edelbrock aluminium heads and intake. I was told it has 12.5:1 pistons. It has the roller rockers, not sure of the cam specs. It has the Moroso external oil pickup for higher RPM and the 8 qt pan. It has an electric water pump, cooling fan, and the front engine plate mount. I have installed a new bigger Holley compitition carb and a new MDS Digital 6 Plus CDI Ignition box. It has a Painless wiring harness.Racing seats. The paint os ok but I was going to re-paint it this year if I kept the car as it has a few repair spots on the front of the roof and two spots on the back of the top where it meets the body by the rear fenders that are starting to bubble. The interior is ok and has new carpet but needs some work to be show quality. It was ran on the drag strip and the previous owner decided it was more fun to drive on the street so he was converting it back over to drive on the street when he sold it. It needs a new blinker switch ( the one it has now is broke) and winshield wiper arms & blades, it has the motor. I kept it in a heated garage and never drove it in the rain. The dealer told me it made about 850 hp on the bottle and 600 or 650 hp without. It will pull the front wheels at a 10-15 mph roll and it is scary fast. I'm sure there are things I am forgetting. The only reason I am selling is that my interests have turned to older model vehicles and I barely drive this car at all. I drive my '41 Chevy all the time and the family enjoys it more. The car is an awesome car, my interests have just changed and I haven't really put any more work into it.
