Vehicle Detail

This is the first year for Miata, where there was a waiting list to get one. It was on everyone's best of the best, car of the year list. I've tried to show a sticker (original from the factory) where this was was automobile magazine's car of the year. Drive it and you'll understand, although I suspect if you are looking at this you already know. This car is in all original condition, except I recently put new Kelly Charger GT tires on it. Not because the old ones tires were worn (they were the original tires with almost 20K miles), but because they were rotted from age. This car spent the majority of it's life in the garage of a friend's beach house in Florida. They would fly in and drive the car when on vacation. There are original miles! When you see the car, you will understand. It does have some dings down the passenger side. My friend rented her beach house out (not including the car) and some renters must have opened their doors into the passenger's side. I don't think they are bad enough to worry about or repair, and they don't really show up well in photos, but they are there. Also, at one point I was told some paint overspray landed on the roof of the car from a nearby construction site. The roof was replaced, and it is the roof on the car, which is in like new condition, window and all. However, there are straps glued to the vinyl roof, where the metal roof beam slides through has come unglued from the top. To me, it's no big deal, but....... I do have the original top that came with the car, which appears to be in very good condition. I'm not sure why they replaced it. I drove this car from Flordia to Arkansas without issue, through terrible rain storms. Not a drop of leak. It is air conditioned and takes the old R-12, and I did have to has some put in. The AC works fine. I recently purchased a newer Mazdaspeed Miata right after I bought this one, bought a Volksrod, and am taking delivery on a Saab this weekend. One of these cars is going to have to be moved outside and they are all too nice, in my opinion, to be left outside in the cold. I am also struggling with having two Miatas. I have all paperwork on this car, including the original sales invoice, owners manual, maintenance records, and all papers that came with the car when new. I do not have the window sticker, however. I have both factor keys and one extra. This car sold for $16,563.00 when new, as you can hopefully see in the pictures. It is in as like new condition as I believe you will find for a 23 year old car. This is a driveable collector's car. It is truly a great car. If you buy this car, show up, and feel that it is misrepresented or you are unhappy in any fashion, you do not have to consummate the purchase. With this said, please don't bid unless you are a serious buyer. I have a few friends interested in this car, so I am reserving the right to end this auction early, should one of them decide to pull the trigger on purchase. Also, I drive this car occasionally, so it could have a few more miles on it. I have gotten over 30 miles per gallon on this car, as it has the original 1.6 engine. It sips gas like a bird, yet is fun to drive. It is like driving a go-cart on the street. Truly a remarkable machine. If you find a better conditioned, lower mileage 1990 Miata for sale at a price better than this, let me know and we'll talk. Best wishes. On Jan-12-13 at 06:51:17 PST, seller added the following information: It has been brought to my attention that "autocheck" lists that this car has 123K miles on it, and this is simply INCORRECT. I am the third owner and have documentation from purchase of this car new to today. I believe I saved a copy of the prior title, and have other records that will prove that the 23K miles is correct. When I registered the car in my name, it was odometer exempt, due to its age. I'm guessing somebody at Autocheck was following some type of policy to add 100K to a car of this age. If anybody shows up and REASONABLY believes that this is a 123K mile car, I will gladly refund your travel expenses. Please don't just plan on taking a trip to Northwest Arkansas on my dime, however, as this is a 23K miles car. I understand the engine is dirty. If it would make anybody feel better, I can run it to the car wash and blast it. If you will check my feedback, I purchased a VW Ratrod in December. The rat rod is missing windows, so the Miata came out of my garage and the rat rod went in. I was walking by the Miata yesterday and made a snap decision to list it on e-bay. Out came the smart phone and snap, it was listed. I did not wash it, clean it, or prep it in any way for photos or sale. I am not a car sales person, I am an attorney in the State of Arkansas. I'm not sure which one is better or worse, but let me say this, if I were to sell you a car and represent that it was a 23K mile car, and it was truly a 123K mile car, that would be fraud and I could lose my license to practice law. I am certainly not going to take such a risk over the sale of a car, let alone a $5K Miata. The car is what I say it is and I can prove it. I am happy to answer any other questions. On Jan-17-13 at 06:08:52 PST, seller added the following information: Again, an astute Miata fan has brought to my attention another issue with this car, this one is correct. The markings on the front were apparently not on a 90 Miata, but were put on in later years. This car was involved in a front end collision in 2001 and repaired at a local bodyshop in Springdale, Arkansas. The repairs totaled $2,601.21 and included replacement of the front bumper, left headlamp left fender and apron. I am more than happy to send a copy of the repair invoice via fax or e-mail, should anybody wish to see it. I had the repair invoice all the time, it was in the paperwork shown in one of the photos, I just never went through it. My apologies to any, if I have wasted your time. I'm getting tired. It's a cheap car with 23K miles on it. It drives as new. I'm about to give it to one of my kids.
