Vehicle Detail

Don't wait to find out if this winter is going to get worse!!! Now is your chance to get Subaru's famous symmetrical all wheel drive for a bargain price!!! I bought this car a little over 3 years ago. It's served me well, but I've upgraded to a Lincoln, and I'm happy with it. So, this car must go. Like most other cars on E-Bay, this one is being sold "As Is, Where Is." It's not perfect, in fact, it's over 15 years old. So, I encourage you to inspect the car before bidding. If you're not local, I will happily drop it off at a mechanic in town to look at it for you (you pay the mechanic's fee). When I bought the car in September 2009, I had new front rotors and pads, new gear oil, new brake fluid, coolant and transmission oil put in. The reason the car has so few miles per year for the past 3 years is because my commute involves just a 1.2 mile drive to the train station. You can see the rust on the rear quarter panels. A lot of this rust was already there 3 years ago. But, the rust has grown a bit. Also, the car did develop an exhaust leak (common for Subarus) after I bought the Lincoln. But, I haven't been motivated to fix it. It's not really loud, but, it's definitely noticeable. Another common stunt that these Subarus pull is the gas gauge goes funky between 3/4 and 1/4 tank, which trips the Check Engine Light. It's been this way since I bought it. There are two fixes 1) Replace the fuel level sending unit in the gas tank, 2) Use the trip odometer to monitor your gas use. I chose option 2. The gas gauge works great when the tank is full and when the tank is down to 1/4 tank, the Check Engine Light also goes away (as you can see in the photos). Overall, this little Subaru has never let me down, and I absolutely trust it. I put in a new JVC KDX40 MP3 player head unit, some Pioneer speakers up front and Boston Acoustics speakers in back, so I could enjoy my iPod when I take trips. The head unit will also connect to your iPhone and other MP3 players! The Cooper CS4 Touring tires have TONS of life left. They've only got about 8,000 miles on them so far, and they're very nice in the snow. The power windows and power locks work great, and the car has remote, key-less! If you have any questions, or want to look at the car before bidding, feel free to reach out to me, I'll do whatever I can to let you see the car at your convenience. Located just off NJ Route 3, Route 46 and the Garden State Parkway! On Dec-31-12 at 15:23:22 PST, seller added the following information: I was just reminded! When I bought the car, it had about 102,000 miles on it. So, I took it to a mechanic that really knows Subarus (the same mechanic that installed the front rotors, pads and fluids). From what I've read, Subarus need to have their timing belts done about every 100,000 miles. He said that the timing belts appear to have been done, and he advised me that they didn't need to be replaced (this is saying something, because he's the one that I would have paid to replace the belts).
