It has been garaged and well maintained. It runs and drives as well as it looks. This is one of the last 521’s produced as the 620 was introduced in February of 1972. This is one of the easiest manual shifts you will ever drive. Quiet and smooth. Everything is 100 percent original. This is a one of a kind, all original, 1972 Datsun and is like it was placed into a time capsule. It is a true original. Wow! Wow! Wow! Engine The is a great, clean engine which is stock original 1595 CC L-16, 1.3 Litre, Datsun OHC 4 Cylinder that performs well. The carburetor is stock, gas dual throat with down draught. Radiator, fan and hoses are all original and work perfectly. The inner fender wells and firewall are stock with original paint and rust free. Hood and hinges are also stock in perfect condition, hinges work properly. Everything is clean. The steering and brakes are manual. Electrical system is stock. Chassis The transmission is 4 speed manual. The front suspension is stock, A-arm torsion bar. The rear suspension is stock, leaf springs. The frame is stock. The single exhaust is original. The wheels are original 14 inch steel wheels painted gray with hub cabs. The like new tires are Hankook P215/70R 14 white walls. Spare tire mount is under the bed with new tire. Body The body is beautiful with the original gray green paint that shows like new. The body is straight with excellent door, engine compartment lid and panel fit, all steel with no rust. The front chrome bumper and stock stainless steel grille are shiny with no scratches and no pitting. The rear bumper is custom steel with some areas of surface only rust. The glass is all stock original. The headlights, running lights, tail lights and front signals are all stock. The stainless steel rings have no pitting or scratches and the lenses are not faded. The inside of the bed needs painting but shows just with minor scratches and surface only rust - but no dents. The graphics are stock Datsun 1600. The doors are stock – steel and original. The fenders are stock steel. The hood and bed is stock steel. The mirrors are stock drivers side only. The door handles are stock. Interior The stock original dash is in perfect condition, no cracks. The vinyl seats are stock, bench with seat covers and show little wear. The door panels are original, in perfect condition. The headliner is stock and in like new condition. The floor covering is a stock rubber mat. The trim and weather stripping are stock. The lights and gauges are stock original. The steering wheel is stock and worn from the original owner wearing her large diamond rings. The wiring, fuse panels and breakers are all stock.
