Normal 0 false false false EN-US JA X-NONE This is an original 1967 Chevelle Malibu classic beauty, a head turner with very low miles, less than 75,000. It is straight with all the original parts. It is a survivor that has been driven very little, and these miles were put on by the original woman owner/driver who garaged, cherished, pampered and meticulously maintained this vehicle. The original woman owner ordered it from a local Portland dealership in 1967 and we purchased this car from her family who shared her story. This car has always been garaged. Under our ownership, we have taken it on a few very enjoyable Sunday drives, but mostly loved, admired, and had some light maintenance upkeep done including changing the fluids and installing brand new tires. It starts, runs and has no problems driving a distance. ENGINEThe engine is good and clean. It starts and runs well, and sounds fantastic. There are no visible fluid leaks. The inner fender panels and fire wall are original, in great condition, and rust free with the exception of very minor surface rust areas. All the original hinges work properly and perform well. The 8 Cylinder, 283 CID engine appears to be stock, numbers are matching, and it performs well. This beauty has the original 2 barrel #7027114 carburetor, and the radiator, fan and hoses cool just fine. The electrical system is original. The steering and brakes are power. It does have new plug wires and windshield washer bottle. CHASSIS The chassis is clean, original and rust free with the exception of regular very minor surface rust. It has the original Chevrolet steel wheels, 14 inch, and original center hubcaps. The tires are just a few weeks old; the original tires had new tread but were age cracked. The original single exhaust is properly aligned and sounds great. Stock power Drum / Drum Brakes stop well. Front suspension is original, coil springs, and the rear suspension is original, independent. This beauty has the original Power Glide Automatic Transmission and original Frame and Rear End. BODY The body is extremely straight with original paint with minor scratches and dings and the original Malibu graphics. It is an original steel hood and trunk with great lid and panel fit. All Stainless Steel Trim is Stock appearing with no pitting or scratches. No noticeable rust in the body. The paint is original. The chrome bumpers and grille are shiny chrome with no scratches and no pitting. The glass is all stock appearing with no scratches or chips. The headlights, running lights and taillights are original with no fading on the lenses. Original chrome bumpers. Original steel fenders. Original door handles. INTERIOR The interior is great. It has stock steel vinyl dash with stock stainless steel trim. The seats are original, and the bench is two tone turquoise cloth / vinyl, also original, and shows minor wear with no rips or tears. The threads are old and coming undone in areas. The matching door panels are original and in good condition. The armrest is showing some age. The weather stripping and window felts appear to be original and do not leak. The carpeting is clean, especially considering its age, and has no noticeable holes or tears. The gauges and warning lights are all original and work well; they are mounted in the original dash cluster. This car is beautiful and runs and drives as well as it looks. Everything is there and it would be easy to restore to original condition. From what we can see as an honest appraisal, the few things needed restore this beauty to the original, perfect condition are: Paint under the hood; firewall, fender wells, engine and body. The body paint is original with beautiful patina, but has a few minor scratches and scrapes. The interior is nice but the seats and armrest could use reupholstering to be restored in perfect condition. I am paring way down due to declining health. It is time for me to pass forward this beauty with the velvety smooth, quiet ride. She starts right up, idles smooth and at the same time offers power, class and awesome style.
