1981 Jeep Scrambler 4x44.0 Liter 5 Speed TJ EngineDana 300 Transfer CaseVintage Scrambler with New Jeep Reliability and TechnologyFuel InjectedRuns and Drives GreatMany New PartsSmoking Deal on a Scrambler****NO RESERVE****I’m selling my 1981 Scrambler that has an electronic fuel injected 4.0 Liter 5 speed out of a TJ adapted to a Dana 300 transfer case. Mechanically this jeep runs and drives great. Clutch feels very nice and the 4.0 liter runs great and idles perfectly. The 4 wheel drive works great, even the 4x4 lights come on when it’s in 4wd. Jeep spent most of its life down south. The 4.0 runs awesome and I have all of the receipts for the performed work, which was done by a professional 4x4 shop, not in my cousin’s garage.All of the gauges work except the fuel gauge, and I have one for it, just haven’t had time to replace it yet. The heat works great and will run you out. I do have some AC components (compressor and maybe other parts) for the jeep but they are not installed. The Dana 300 leaks a little, it just needs a gasket.It comes with the half hardtop that’s in great shape (could use a repaint) and full steel doors. It also has half soft doors and a full soft top. Full doors are very solid. The floor pans have been patched in a couple places and were effective.Very clean original interior with bestop seat covers.Frame is so solid on this things it’s ridiculous. Shackle mount areas in the rear are also solid. Body has had a couple minor repairs (both sides around the wheel wells) but is overall nice and straight. Front left fender has a couple dents on the front. Jeep has had a trailer hitch welded to the rear of the frame. It could be taken off fairly easily.Interior is nice and clean. Like I said, the heat will run you out.This is a nice scrambler that hasn’t been abused. Jeep has a 4" lift.Many new AGR steering components, new master cylinder, new stainless braided brake lines, rebuilt hubs, new rotors, new tie rods and ends, new wheel bearings, new brake pads, new brake calipers, and more. AMC 20 with one piece upgrade, and Dana 30 axles with 4:10 gears. The Scrambler comes with a clean and clear title. Its comes with some other spare parts. I will include everything that I have for it.Slap a paint job on this scrambler and it would be top notch, or leave it as is and just enjoy it.Please feel free to email with any questions.
