1970 mercury cougar XR-7, this was a garage find, i wanted to restore the car but i lost interest, i am not a huge ford guy but thought this car was pretty coolthe previous owner claimed mileage is original which it shows 47kstory goes his wife hit a van and they did not have insurance so they parked it in a garage sometime in the 80s, it was running when parked but no longer runs, i put a battery in the car and it will not turn over, so it is either locked up or the starter is bad or something else it just clicksbody overall is in good shape no rust to speak of other than surface rust in places, only rust i found was a small spot at the bottom of the back window, is a spot about 2" wide by 1" tallsolid floors and trunk, rh front fender is damaged from wreck, the front bezel is gone and the covered headlights will need some parts, hood has damage on the corner but is fixablecar is wearing most all of its original paint other than hood was painted at one timeinterior overall is in good shape, has factory tach and many other options, radio was robbed at some pointmice have been in the interior and have ruined the headlinerdrivers seat has a tear in it, console is nice, dash pad has some fading but is not cracked engine is a 351 with a 2 barrel carb, aftermarket cruise was added at one time, only thing missing that i can see is the a/c compressor which i do not have bumpers need rechromed, rear bumper has a dent and front bumper is damaged from collision all glass is goodOn Dec-13-12 at 13:21:31 PST, seller added the following information: found a crack in the dash pad by the defrost vent about inch long, and there is rust above the windshield i found today after peeling more of the vinyl backOn Dec-16-12 at 10:15:23 PST, seller added the following information: for everyone asking reserve is set at $1k, reserve right to end auction earlyOn Dec-16-12 at 10:17:39 PST, seller added the following information: may also deliver within 400 miles for a fee, depends which direction you liveOn Dec-18-12 at 20:10:10 PST, seller added the following information: recieved an email from a guy that has the parts to fix the car if interested or he would sell the whole car for parts! located in wyoming
