FOR SALE is my wifes 1953 MG TD replica. It is one of the best looking TDs I've ever seen. I am the first owner to complete this vehicle, the original builder had spent a lot of money and time doing it very right, but got lost somehow in the construction and ended up trading it off for a complete car, the second owner did not want to finish it and offered it up on E-Bay. I purchased this vehicle and was very surprised to find it in such a nice condition. We finished it two years ago and my wife has been driving it very little, (we live in windy New Mexico) The car has a rebuilt Ford Pinto driveline with a rebuilt engine and new clutch, etc. I installed the interior and disassembled the fiberglass parts and installed NYLOK nuts on every bolt that went thru the fiberglass, installed an exhaust system that gives the MG snarl sound to the exhaust, went thru the entire braking system and safety checked it out prior to letting my wife have it. Tires are good without vibrations etc. There is a brand new white roof, door uppers and a tonneau cover which would fit well if you removed the headrests from the seats, these are brand new and have never been installed as I didn't want to put any holes in the body. Well to make a short story longer, we are moving back to ALASKA (No we're not crazy) and this car simply won't work well where we are going, so it, along with 5 others must be sold. If you want a very nice classic for your wife this CHRISTMAS etc, this would be it, guaranteed smiles wherever she would take it, Wherever my wife drove it, people would stop and look at it, car shows, people would flock around it and it kinda made those guys with 50K invested in their cars a bit upset. If you look at the pictures underneath the car you can get an idea of how well it was put together, nice and neat and everything is in proper order. I rebuild old cars and was quite impressed with this guys work. The PETROL gauge does not work, but the sender is very accessable, the DYNAMO gauge is not hooked up, I was looking for a voltmeter gauge and never found it but it charges perfectly as it is hooked up properly, these are classic, white faced gauges, the speedometer cable is the wrong one, so my wife just drove off of the tach.
