Vehicle Detail
***71 VW BEETLE SUNROOF CUSTOM INTERIOR GREAT DRIVER*** ***RUNS DRIVES GREAT --- CHROME WHEELS --- NICE STEREO SYSTEM*** This is a beautiful 1971 Volkswagen Beetle in deep dark metallic green with green and tan interior. It has a working sunroof that does not leak. Engine is in excellent running condition. Transmission shifts smooth and the brakes work fine. It has Superior chrome wheels - 5 of them including the spare. The interior has a custom steering wheel, gauges, Scat shifter and a stereo system with four speakers. The owner is a buddy who asked me to list the Beetle. His wife traded for this car but after driving it a while she has decided a more modern car is what she needs. This Beetle fires right up and runs, drives like it did in 1971. Email any question and feel free to ask me for the owner's number if you'd like to take a look and go for a ride in this Beetle. The owner was told a father built this car for his daughter - new paint, interior, mechanical work - and then decided to sell it. The owner traded another car for it. It has dark metallic green paint which is glossy. Chrome Superior wheels mount P205X60XR15 tires. The owner added the vinyl accent stripe - it can be removed Windows are tinted and all the chrome and trim are in nice condition. Famous Beetle front end with eyebrows over the headlights Engine runs great and is dependable Interior has been completely redone by a previous owner. It has a Mountney steering wheel and custom instrument panel. Seats are green and tan vinyl. The green has little dots to imitate ostrich. Interior is clean. Shifter is from Scat. Back seat - car has all the seat belts Stereo has four speakers - this is the driver side kick panel with 6-inch Kenwood speaker. Note custom gas pedal. The two aftermarket gauges on the left are not connected. There is a custom turn signal and four way flasher on the column. All lights, flashers work. Speedometer, gas gauge and the aftermarket volt meter all work. Car has an alternator. The yellow button is for the horn. Previous owner installed the custom knobs (factory ones are in the glove box, photo below) and JVC AM/FM/CD stereo and speakers. Sunroof and headliner Sunroof open 6X9 speakers in rear package shelf Driver door panel Passenger door panel - note custom handle Engine fires right up and runs great - we know the carburetor was replaced by previous owner as old one came with the car No leaks, no smoke, sounds like a stock Beetle engine Alternator - note chrome cover on right Tag on alternator Indexed aluminum pulley Engine number AH414093 - I think this is a 1974 engine. That would make it 1641 cc Carburetor and air filter Look to the left and you can see the chrome louvered cover. It can also be seen in the alternator photo above. Underside of engine cover Front storage area Heater Storage area Chrome wheel spare Underside of lid painted body color VIN on dash matches VIN on clear Virginia title in owner's name Plate on car also matches VIN Title for car is clear Original dash knobs in glove box Original owner's manual Classic styling Eyebrows look cute on the bug Superior wheels and P205X60XR15 tires - note trim on rear of front fender All glass is good and tinted Sunroof does not leak when closed Driver side glass Running board and vinyl accent trim that can be easily removed Driver rear fender Taillights - all lenses look good. Engine sounds stock, exhaust looks factory Engine cover - bumpers are in great shape Passenger rear fender Passenger side glass Passenger side running board If you are seriously interested in this car my advice is to come and see it. The car is located in Chesterfield, Virginia 23112. Car is close to Route 288 which connects I-64 and I-95.
