1999 Honda CBR 1100 XX "Black Bird", a celebrated design and work of art from Honda. This motorcycle was the fastest production motorcycle for a extended period of time only to be ousted of its reign by the Suzuki Hayabusa......and only by a very slim margin. The CBR 1100 is as agile as a cat, comfortable to ride and can transform into a screaming demon by only a slight twist of the throttle. Bike has great braking response thanks to the link braking design Honda offered with the "Black Bird". To this day when I hit the famous "Dragons Tail" or Blood Mountain in North Georgia, there are few to no bikes that can move through the curves as quick as this bike and through the straits don't even try to keep up. Bike is stock with the exception of a double bubble windscreen. It is not all jingled up with after-market parts and accessories. The following discrepancies are the only things wrong with this bike: One inch squared area on lower right fairing were the paint has chipped Upper right cowl fairing has a crack just under handle bar, mostly unnoticeable. I did this when strapping bike down to take it to dealer to have it serviced. It does not effect operation at all Light scuffs in the clear coat on tank near seat and on the back fender from travel bags, they more than likely will buff out Original owner stripped the black paint off of the wheels to show natural metal finish. I am the second owner and never returned the wheels to their original state Pictures of these areas are provided on this listing. As you will see, you can't even really see the blemishes but I wanted to describe them so there are no surprises during pick-up. I am listing the bike well below BB suggested value. This bike cleans up very nicley and everyone who sees the bike thinks it is a newer model, although there are few to no changes to the latest CBR 1100's (2000-2003), well worth the money. Paint is great, all chrome is clean and gleams. Any buyer will be pleased. I bought a dirt bike so I can ride with my son so I no longer have time to ride the CBR, only one toy at a time, this is my reason to sell. As far as mechanical issues, there are none. The bike has been serviced by a local Honda dealer (last service was 140 miles ago, plugs/oil/filter) by the original owner and my self. Brake pads are recent, plenty of miles left. Bike is sitting on 75% rubber, Michelin Pilot Plus front/rear which have bi-surface for wear longevity, they handle great. Chain and sprockets are in good condition.
