1967 VW Kombi Bus Split Window Mechanically restored. Correct 1967 1500cc HO engine block. Engine completely rebuilt by the best VW mechanics in Northern California, BuggyHouse in Hayward, with less than 100 miles on it. Engine still in warranty. Tie rods replaced. Brakes completely redone. New alternator and starter. Gearbox and transmission work flawlessly. It drives and brakes perfectly and runs and shifts smoothly. All electrics work. All doors and hatches close and lock. Comes will keys to all the locks. Originally a Nevada state bus. Completely rust free. There is just a nickel of rust on the driver's side door. Other than that there is no rust at all. Camper conversion done in the 70s with 4 Westfalia Hehr Jalousie windows. Per the M-Code this particular model was built on September 27, 1966 (1967 model year) and came with the rear seat only. Color was velvet green all around with mesh grey interior. The bus has body damage at the rear right side area next to the tailgate, the roof, and a few bumps and dings all around. The metal is all very solid and can be reshaped to it's original form by anyone familiar in metalwork repair. The front is in perfect condition with no damage at all. The bus is complete with the only missing part being the rear bumper. Comes with front bumper in good restorable condition. All the glass is intact. All Jalousie windows work smoothly. Comes with a lot of weather sealing parts which have not yet been installed and the correct wood to finish the rear ceiling of the interior. The bus is perfectly drivable as is. It is currently registered and insured and located in Burlingame, California. Please review all the pictures below as they detail every aspect of the bus.
