Vehicle Detail
I have for a NO RESERVE auction a very nice 1971 Ford Bronco 302 original engine, with a 3spd on the floor. I am listing this for a friend of mine. I have been helping him with it for the past 6 years since he's owned it so I can pretty much answer most questions. Let me start by saying the bronco has a branded title. "reconstructed." As I understand it, it was a theft recovery. It appears that the interior was removed and the left fender. The left fender has been replaced with a fiberglass one. Not a big fan of a fiberglass fender be easily replaced. There is an original 302 CID 2 bbl engine with the 3 spd on the floor tranny. It needs the cowl cover around the linkage in order to make it air tight. (Tom's Broncos) This bronco has been driven by my friend for the past 6 years with no issues. This bronco is from Central Oregon and has none of the typical rust issues. This makes this rig very desirable. It only needs paint as you see or just keep it this way and not worry about getting it scratched. Again, let me state that I have not seen any rust on this bronco. I will first go over some items that need attention, then I'll tell you what has been done. The Steering column has been replaced but the wires have not been reconnected as yet. The wires are all color coded so it makes it easy. The lights on the dash work, but because the wires were all cut when the steering column was replaced none of the gauges work at this time. It did prior of course so not to worry. It has a set of three separate gauges where the radio was. (I didn't install them) There is a fuel gauge, volt amp meter and oil pressure. That does work. That's it. This bronco drives very nice and straight. It is very comfortable to drive with the Tom's Bronco lift. The progressive springs are very nice. You can take this anywhere without worries. It starts with just a click of the starter. There is no back seat yet the rear seats belts remain. I have taken all the carpet out in plans of stripping this down for paint. All body is aligned very nicely and doors are aligned and close without effort. He is buying a new house and will loose the garage space so this is up for sale. I have done a lot of work the last year. Let me list a few items that have been done. A considerable amount of time and money went into this rig. It has 3.5 inch lift with progressive springs, dual shocks front and back from Tom's Broncos2 inch body lift, Tom's BroncosLowered Drag Link Tom's BroncosPower Steering conversion with polished aluminum pulleys. Waiting for paintTrack bar extension Tom's BroncosAdjustable Track Bar (not installed but included) Tom's BroncosSteering dampner New electric synced windshield wiperJust installed new reupholstered front seats. Covers purchased here on Ebay. Great product. The seats look brand new and are of a great quality. New rear stock gas tank, Tom's BroncosBrand New BF Goodrich Mud Terrain 35X12.5 15 tires and wheels If there is anything else I can remember I'll post it. Once again, this is a NO RESERVE auction. It is a great running rig without all the hassles of a rust bucket. It needs a little body work and paint. All of the hard work has been done. Enjoy If you have any questions or you would like to make an offer, do not wait until the auction is over. It will be gone by then. Now for the legal part. Your bid constitutes a contract to purchase, not as a time to get your cash together. This bronco is sold as is where is. Please make you inspections etc. prior to purchase. You bid, you win, you own it. Ok, that's it. The geometry on the front end is correct so you don't have any bump steer or wandering. Both doors require a couple parts (Plastic clips) from Tom's in order for it to use the handles. Right I open it from the handle inside (I just reach in the wing window). I've also added a couple more pictures. On Nov-25-12 at 12:32:56 PST, seller added the following information: One last item. I didn't itemize the parts that were put on in the last year. They total approx. $6,250 + prior to shipping or cost of installation. The purchase price of the bronco 6 years ago was $6,500 stock. You know how much they have appreciated in that time. Just wanted give everyone one a perspective of costs. Did I mention this is a rust free body, not an East coast rust bucket. Just needs paint.
