Vehicle Detail
Another one of my “keepers” is up for adoption at a good price! A recent eye injury has ended my motorcycle and flying days which have spanned over many, many years. I have been fortunate enough to have many great memories which will keep the smile on my face despite my recent misfortune. I have already sold my R12000RT and this R80RT is next. This BMW has been my “local” cruiser but is quite capable of extended cross country rides for years to come. It has always had the best of service, mostly by me with 40+ years of BMW ownership, maintenance and restoration experience. As you can see by the high resolution pictures I have included with this description, the bike is in great cosmetic and mechanical condition and has been well cared for considering its age and mileage. If you need more pictures, just ask. Included with the standard equipment are the following options: Heated Grips, Corbin seat, quartz driving lamps, nearly new tires, Brown side stand (to replace the poorest designed OEM side stand in the universe) an extra power outlet and a ton of loving care. Please check my feedback (1189 @ 100%) and you will see that I am a man of very high standards. I sleep very well at night. This model BMW is one of my favorites as it has the original BMW sound and feel and it also has the capability of easily meeting the needs of the cross country rider. It is a great candidate for a first touring bike, a great commuter bike with lots of storage, or a great bike for your son or daughter, or your significant other (unless you prefer to ride alone that is). I will be happy to assist the new owner with the details of shipping and ownership paper work but the cost of shipping will be all yours of course. If you live in the central New England area please stop by and check it out. Just shoot me an email rthompson@ne.rr.com so we can work out the details. I am asking for a $500 deposit via PayPal within the first 48 hours of the auction’s close and final payment via cash or wire transfer within 7 days of the auction’s close. If you are a new rider, this is a great place to start. If you are an experienced rider I probably don’t need to sing BMW’s praises as their reputation is well known. You probably won’t find a better bike at this price. Bid high and bid often! Thanks for taking the time to check this out.
