We purchased this van new in 1995 and have maticulously maintained it, both cosmetically and mechanically. The leather shows some wear of course, but it was top of the line at the time (list was $33,000 in 1995) with full leather trimmed in walnut. 99% of it's 412,000 miles has been highway driving. Always Castrol Synthetic every 3000-5000 miles, and it does not use any oil. As you can tell by the pictures, it has always been garaged. Has a Reese hitch, although I have rarely used it. Rear sofa folds down into a queen bed at the touch of button. A/C is fine (has rear A/C as well). 15" TV with DVD. Also CD player. Has recently had rear-end gears replaced, transmission overhauled, valves ground, plugs, points, etc. Slight surface rust in a couple of places but absolutely nothing serious. The only problem is Ford says there is a short in the power distribution box that causes the transmission to slip out of gear occasionally, and Ford no longer sells the part, so it would have to be found at a salvage yard. Otherwise, I would not hesitate to drive it to visit our daughters in CO and CA (where it has been several times :) Just bought a new SUV. Our daughters grew up in this van and went on many long vacations with us..and we'll be sad to see it go.
