1961 Mercury Comet with 57499 Original Miles !!! This 2 owner 1961 Mercury Comet is truly a rare find !!!The 1961 Comet with its distinguishing 45 degree canted taillights, and unique fenders and grill was a unique alternative to its close sibling the Ford Falcon.This well preserved example has the Thrift Power 170 CID inline six cylinder engine and a manual 3 speed transmission. The car has a very glossy blue exterior which well compliments the abundance of chrome and stainless steel trim. The interior is in very good condition overall as the seats have no stains or tears as well as the carpeting. The interior chrome trim is in excellent condition.The driver side door panel has a small 2.5 inch tear near the arm rest and the door panels are all original and in good condition overall.Mechanically the car runs and drives very well and the engine does not blow any smoke.
