Vehicle Detail

Up for sale 1972 Mach 1 mustang. Here is how the decoder shows the car as it was new. Warranty Number: 2F05Q238840 Year: 2 1972 Plant: F Dearborn, MI Body Series: 05 SportsRoof, Mach 1 Engine: Q 351 4v V8 Unit: 238840 238840 Miscellaneous Vehicle Data Body: 63R SportsRoof, Mach 1 Color: 4Q Dark Green Metallic Trim: GW White Vinyl with Black Appointments, Mach 1 Luxury Date: D.S.O: 16 Philadelphia Axle: S 3.50:1, Traction-Loc Trans: 5 4-Speed Manual So as you can see the color is not original, I feel it is better looking in grabber blue with Black interior so it did not change it back from when I got the car. Colors are all that have been changed. Paint is a few years old with a few minor chips here or there but still looks very nice. Yes I have a Marty Report for the car. Yes this is a true mach 1 351 cobra jet 4 speed car. Great to car to invest in. It has new floor pans installed, battery tray was replaced. Strong structure car. The only rust I have seen now on the car is two small small bubbles on the pass quarter panel, ans a few on the under side of the trunk lid.I chipped away the bubbles on the quarter panel and found the metal was still good, so touched up the paint to hold it as is. I have pictures of the new floor pans being installed and sealed so you know it is good. Torque box's are in great shape. the last pictures are of the under side and the very last is of the trunk area down at the lowest spot where the quarter panel is so you can see how solid it is. I have two motors with the car. Yes I have the original matching numbers core long block that is included with the sale of the car.The other motor is a fresh fresh complete rebuild on another true 4v cobra jet 351 c. I wanted to be able to go have fun with the car with out worrying about hurting the matching numbers motor. The motor in the car is a true mach one 351 CJ! I got it out of a wrecked mach one and checked all the numbers. So you are getting to Cobra Jet 4 bolt main mach 1 motors. It has had the following done; tank and checked block, 30 over bore, new 10:1 30 over pistons, line honed, new cam bearings, new main bearings, new rod bearings, crank turned 10 on the mains and 10 on the rods, new rod fasteners and new main bolts, new street strip cam and lifter assembly, new timing chain, new valves, new guides, new valve springs and of coarse new gaskets. I spent a lot of money on the motor to have it really right and correct for the car. It also has new hooker long tube headers, Edelbrock carburetor (I have the original matching number carburetor and it is also included in the sale), new points in the correct dual point distributor, new vacuum advance, new plugs, new cap, new rotor, new wires, new coil, new motor mounts and brass freeze plugs. Radiator has been over hauled just last week. I upgraded to an electric fan instead of a manual fan. I do not have the original air cleaner. New Napa battery, new battery cables for positive and negative, new belts and hoses. Motor is fresh fresh fresh. We will be doing its first oil change before you have the car shipped out. It only has a few miles on it, like under 50. Has the original Rug AV1 top loader 4 speed transmission. It is in great shape. I have pictures of the inside of it as well so you can see how nice and correct it is. It has a brand new clutch, pressure plate and throw out bearing. It also has the original Ford part numbered Hurst 4 speed shifter and linkage. Still has the original 9 inch rear differential. Power steering and power front disc brake car. Has a new master cylinder. Brakes work well. The inside had been swapped out to black when I got the car along with the paint being blue. I like the Black inside better so started fixing any flaws with it. I have installed a new black carpet kit and have had the front seats restored and recovered. It will need a new headliner. I have installed most of the new door weather strips, still have the uppers to do and it will need a new rear window seal installed when the headliner is installed. I do have a new rear seal and it is included with the car. Door panels are good looking but not perfect. I also have installed brand new door sill / scuff plates. The center console is complete and in good condition. Dash has not been cut up! Has both front and rear spoilers. Yes it has the correct Poly Urethane front bumper! Has new shocks in all 4 corners. As you can see from the pictures and from what I have put in the text of this add this is a nice investment car. I have been doing the restoration correctly as I have had time. It still has minor things here or there but this is a nice car. I hate to see it go but need the money more that the car. That said I am not going to give it away for any price. I am I feel priced fair. I know the amount I have into it is more that what I will get out of it and you could not get one with all this much work done for the price I am selling it for. Car is sold as is. I have the title for the car Car can stay here for 30 days with out a problem so you have time to arrange shipping on the car. Here is a link so you can hear the car running.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P0EAtr67gj0&feature=youtube_gdata_player I will be getting one listed of it driving so you can take a look at that also. I know that I would want to hear it and if you are not local it is hard to do, so a youtube link makes it much easier to see and hear. I have more pictures than what ebay will let me load up. I have pictures of when the floors were done and after top and bottom side so you can see. If you would like to see more please email me with your email address so I can forward them to you.
